Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Thanks to Suttree for this one! Pours a deep honey gold, clear until the yeast shot with a frothy off-white head. The aroma somewhat resembles a homemade apple pie just before it’s put into the oven to bake. Spices, apples, cold yeasty dough. Some banana and clove come on as it warms. Light bodied, spritzy. Starts lightly sweet with a finish that’s softly tart with just a tiny bit of dryness from the spices. Very nice beer.

Pours out a bright orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is full of yeast, banana, clove, and pineapple. The aroma is sweet and spicy and really amazing. Taste is again more yeast and spice, perhaps a bit on the doughy side with a touch of honey as well. However for a style such as this I feel this may be over hopped. I say this because there is a noticable bitterness at the end of the brew almost takes away from the experience. Still, overall, this is a good beer and I would galdly have one again if I could get my hands on one.

Citrus, banana and spice dominate the aromas from this really aggressive Bell’s special issue. Lots of fruits on the palate and some viscosity from the alcohol.

12 oz. bottle acquired in trade with Acknud ( big thanks to Bill for this one ). Pours a very hazy orange, blond color with small white head. Good lacing on glass.Aroma is a powerful tart citrus aroma with a bread dough background. Mouthfeel is a little on the heavy side with moderate carbonation. Flavor is an exciting mix of tart citrus fruits. Oranges and apricot. Also flavors of wheat bread & lemon poppyseed bread. The brew is sweet and tart at the same time. Good mix.

Pours a moslty clear with a slight haze golden blond with lively carbonation and a moslty lasting white head. Aroma is traditional belgian wit spices- coriander and orange peel, phenolicy yeasty notes and some lemony sweetness. flavor is lots of sweet bready malts backed with lots of spice and floral hops- more corianter and orange citrus with some lemongrass hints in the end. Tacky and lightly soapy finish. Meh- I wasnt expecting much, but decent for a double wit.
