Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Lightly foggy amber, thin white head. Lightly spiciness, dried fruit, coriander, citrus, light alcohol. Taste has an initial light hoppiness, followed by the spices, and then citrus, and bubblegum. A fine brew.

This is a nice beer to sip on, the flavors of honey, orange peel and spices. The malts and hops are nearly perfectly balanced. The rest of it feel like a tropical drink that you can enjoy at anytime of the day.

The aroma is nice and spicy with coriander, orange peel, and paradise seed. There is also yeast and honey. The appearance is hazy gold with a large head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s interesting but not great.

12 oz. bottle. Cloudy Orange with a nice head. Aroma of clove and orange. Slightly sweet, almost too much, but OK. I get honey, oranges and yeasty flavors. I found it quite palateable.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Lukas in KCMO. Pour is hazy orange, some reddsish with a nice 1 inch off white head. Aroma of honey, citrus (orange) yeasty earthiness and touch of sour. Aroma is very alive. Taste is initially wheaty-malty, the middle gives way to some of the spiciness then a citric sweet finish. Sweetness is not cloying, but it is certainly headed in that direction. Interesting beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy orange color. Head was bubbly, white, and reduced to a thin film in less than a minute. Aroma was of clove, coriander, alcohol, and orange. Sweet on the tongue with orange, yeasty bread dough, alcohol, spice, and orange flavors. I haven’t the faintest idea what paradise seeds smell or taste like, but I’m sure they’re in there. There was a nice warming alcohol effect that you can feel all the way into your belly. The leathery note that I noticed in the Bell’s Left Bank Ale was also present. Very good beer which would be good on a warm summer day, cold winter night, or anytime in between.
