Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor’s Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Lukas in KCMO. Pour is hazy orange, some reddsish with a nice 1 inch off white head. Aroma of honey, citrus (orange) yeasty earthiness and touch of sour. Aroma is very alive. Taste is initially wheaty-malty, the middle gives way to some of the spiciness then a citric sweet finish. Sweetness is not cloying, but it is certainly headed in that direction. Interesting beer.

12 oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy orange color. Head was bubbly, white, and reduced to a thin film in less than a minute. Aroma was of clove, coriander, alcohol, and orange. Sweet on the tongue with orange, yeasty bread dough, alcohol, spice, and orange flavors. I haven’t the faintest idea what paradise seeds smell or taste like, but I’m sure they’re in there. There was a nice warming alcohol effect that you can feel all the way into your belly. The leathery note that I noticed in the Bell’s Left Bank Ale was also present. Very good beer which would be good on a warm summer day, cold winter night, or anytime in between.

Pour is avery nice hazy pumpkin loke color. Big white head and good lacing. Huge aroma of corriander, orange, more sweet fruits and spicy. Flavor is a boozy orange, with some spice. Full bodied and creamy.

Big thanks to Lowe1983 for this bottle. Creamy orange with a medium size off-white head. Aroma is fairly fruity. Sweet, oranges, spices, coriander, banana, and vanilla cream. Very inviting. Flavor is spices, oranges, pepper, yeast, vanilla, and a little malt. Finishes slightly sweet and peppery with the alcohol finally noticeable. Medium, nicely carbonated body. Superb beer. Awesome.

12 oz bottle - pours a dull, cloudy honey with a small beige head. Aroma bright coriander and orange up front, with a very "thick" smelling yeast presence. I don;t know what Paradise Seed is, but there is an unidentifiable (to my nose) spice in there, so I guess that’s it. Tastes like a Belgian Wit on steroids. Everything is pumped up - the spices, the yeast, even the hops, which certainly come through in the flavour. Ah, and there’s that 9% - hidden in the aroma, it creeps up in the flavour. Dry, citric/zesty finish. Superb offering from Bell’s.

Pours cloudy golden orange. Little but lasting white head.Lots of corainder smell in the nose. Slightly spicey/peppery taste with a belgian and orange malt background. Not my favorite style; pepper and beer don’t mix.
