Guerde (693), Welcome, Minnesota, USA Sep 7, 2007 (bottle, thanks Olso2116) Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma varies between orange, coriander, banana, and bready yeast. Taste is sweet initially which then becomes more spicy, and finally yields to a long lasting finish of yeast. Very thick mouthfeel, not too bad. OSLO (825), Perth, Australia Sep 7, 2007 Updated: Sep 17, 2007[Bottle] Pours very cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is orange, coriander, banana, a little alcohol and yeast. The coriander comes through more strongly than the orange in the taste and the yeast is very pronounced. Quite thick. Long finish. Nice, well done, but not my thing really. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2007 12oz, not impressed at all, tastes exactly like a belgian strong, not like the supercharged blue moon i had hoped for, flavor is largely belgian yeast, clove no orange or sweet citrus that i got, drink ’em fresh i say. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA Sep 6, 2007 Yellowish orangish tan (i love describing colors). Aroma is spices, oranges, yeast, and bananas. Flavor is oranges, spices, bananas, and wheat. Fairlt heavy body.
Bottle from Capone’s. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Sep 5, 2007 Pours hazy golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of orange juice, rum, fusels, and sweet citrus. Taste is sweet, alcoholic, and citric. Mouthfeel is full bodied, slightly heavy from the alcohol with soft but lush carbonation. I love Bells, but this beer was a bit messy, I do think it could benefit from extended aging. Perhaps after a year it would clear up and become a bit more refined. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 5, 2007 Bottle from Capones shared with the Mad indian. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a decent size off-white head. Aroma of belgian spices, fruit, citrus, and sweetness. the flavor is sweet, banana, spices, orange peel, citrus, and a beautifully smooth 9% brew. dkachur (2316), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 4, 2007 Updated: Jul 28, 2009Bottle. Yummy! Aroma is fruity. The orange really comes through with a nice wheat background. Coriander is faintly there in the background.
