3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange gold color and very hazy with a large medium density white head. The aroma has some citrus fruit and a bit of spice. Wheat dominates the flavour and brings through some spice. It feels kind of heavy overall, something to sip and not something to guzzle. Iím kind of torn with this one, it is a íbigí example of the style, and shows how well they can put a receipie together, yet it just doesnít feel like a Bells Batch X000 beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a slightyly hazy golden color witha soapy white head. Aroma is orange, lemon, honey, coriander. Flavor is huge wheat, orange peel, maybe some lemon, coriander, nice hit of honey, yeast, alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes reasonably dry and somewhat spicy, good balance. All in all a very good brew, but not great.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft @ GTMW. Pours a cloudy orange with a full white head and plenty of lacing. Lots of citrus in the nose, especially the orange notes. The flavor seemed like a combination of a hefe and a belgian wit, which really did not do much for me. Iíll have to try this from the bottle to see if it improves the rating for me, but this was not a style for me.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2007 Cloudy orange with thick fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is big, citric and orangey. Flavor is nice all around, well balanced with orange, other light fruit flavors, a little alcohol and spices. One of the best witbiers Iíve had, and the high alcohol makes it even better. Take note, if this were correctly categorized with the Belgian Wits, it would be ranked #1 where it deserves.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had some on draft at Maduro, and brought a 12 ounce bottle back. This rating is from the 12 ounce bottle.
Murky orange-yellow with a snow white head. Some nice lace left behind. The nose seems to be leaning toward the orange peel, though the coriander is noticeable. It seems that the coriander and GoP are more forward in the flavor. It really seems to be a little be on the alcoholic side. Decent body. A bit fluffy. A bit spritzy. Finishes fairly dry. I like the bottled version a bit better than I remember liking the draft version.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Iíve had this a couple times, and Iím now surprised to learn its a witbier. Had much more flavor than Iím accustomed to for the style. Pours a hazy orange. The upfront is much maltier than any witbier Iíve had. The middle is very dense and citrusy, and it finishes with some nice spiciness, coriander and something almost cinnamony, almost reminiscent of a trippel. It has the great mouthfeel I associate with higher alcohol -- smooth and rounded, yet with a crispness that makes your tongue feel alive. Highly recommended.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy golden orange with a ring of thin white head. Aroma of sweet, pale malt with a touch of caramel, earthy spice, orange, and lots of bubble gum. Body starts with a nice, fresh coriander and orange spice with a good sweet pale biscuity malted wheat balance. FInishes smooth and flavorful, but I agree that this is best enjoyed fresh.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to RagallachMC for the bottle. Cloudy amber with a medium head. Good lacing. Aroma was heavy yeast/bananas, Cloves, citrus, sweet malt and spices. Taste was fruity; pear; orange and banana. Huge peppery spiciness with some coriander. The alcohol is well hidden under the spices. Medium to heavy bodied. Very tasty for a wit.
