agl108 (354), Manayunk, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 22, 2008 12 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon, unknown date. Poured hazy orange with virtually no head. Sweet, citrus, yeasty nose. Tasted like a well-loaded wit; tons of coriander and sweet citrus flavor. Perhaps a bit too malty. Appeared mildly undercarbonated. Disappointing.
zappafan99 (256), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Jul 20, 2008 Taste 7/8 Bottle. Looks: Nice cloudy orange/gold. Aroma: Wheat,grain/straw, orange. Taste: Unusual. Fruity with a wheat body. Mild alcohol, sweet and spicy. A little sour yeast. Nice one off, but not something I would drink often. punkrkr27 (323), Clawson, Michigan, USA Jul 11, 2008 Orange gold pour with a short lived loose head. Lots of citrus and orange aroma with bold notes of clove, coriander, banana, alcohol, dried apricot, sweet bread, slight rum. Flavor has loads of sweet dried fruit, orange, coriander, and rum. Tastes like a well spiced Belgian Triple. Medium-full body with lots of carbonation. Atlove (27), USA Jul 11, 2008 Bells batch 8000 pours a cloudy orange with a wispy white head. Nice balance of fruit (orange peel, banana) toasted malt, and spice. Quite an adventurous take on the belgian style; the alcohol has quite a presence. Maybe overwhelming, but worth a try. esjaygee (687), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 11, 2008 Cloudy amber with a mammoth off-white airy head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, Belgian yeast, toasted malt, fruit and sugar. Taste of coriander, orange peel, fruit, alcohol, caramel and toasted malt. An imperial Witbier from Bells, who have easily become my favorite brewer. Shame they only brewed this one once since it’s solid and I hope to find more in my travels. railcat1 (482), Hammond, Indiana, USA Jul 1, 2008 This was a spicy wheat ale with a fluffy white head and had a fruity flavor with lots of different things going on,the alcohol was well hidden and it was a refreshing beer.CHEERS!
