Commercial Description:
Batch 8000 is part of our commemorative series celebrating our progress with special brews. Our Batch 8000 is a special recipe to be brewed only once. It is a wheat ale spiced with Coriander, Orange Peel, and Paradise Seed. Best consumed fresh.
Editor's Note. 9% is far above the abv range of a Belgian Wit Bier. Because we do not have the style "Imperial/Double Belgian Wit", this more closely fits as a Belgian Strong Ale.

Cloudy orange with thick fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is big, citric and orangey. Flavor is nice all around, well balanced with orange, other light fruit flavors, a little alcohol and spices. One of the best witbiers I’ve had, and the high alcohol makes it even better. Take note, if this were correctly categorized with the Belgian Wits, it would be ranked #1 where it deserves.

12oz bottle, via trade with pantanap, thanks Kan. Dark golden yellow pour with a nice white head. Citrusy aroma, some orange peel and coriander perhaps. Very smooth and not too acidic. Very good.

In short: A sweet musty fruity Belgian blonde ale. Decent but slightly below average for the style.
How: Bottle 12oz, consumed when about 1 year old. Bottle sent by Beerlando, thanks a lot Bryan.
The look: Almost clear golden-orange body topped by a very small off-white head
In long: Nose is tangy with notes of orange pulp and coriander. Taste is a letdown. Rather aggressive beer with sweetness and alcohol being the two dominant flavours (not good). Chewy sugary malts feeling a mix between sweet breakfast cereals and white bread. Some dirty flavours coming through in an old rug type of way. Once my palate got used to the all the above I started to taste pleasant fruity flavours of orange, citrus, apricots, some green apples. All in all a slightly below average Strong Belgian blonde ale. Coming from Bell’s this is a somewhat of a disappointment. The beer is very drinkable (I’m drinking it as I type) but I’m raising my glass to their 7999 batches of mostly superior beers.

Bottle via trade. The editor’s note is interesting about how this straddles the border between witbier and strong ale. I 2nd that idea. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a small white head that quickly dissolves. Big aroma of orange citrus, yeast and rock candy. Pleasant flavour of malt and yeast. Enough alcohol in the finish to be a warmer.

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Spiced yeasty and slight oxidised aroma. Light caramel malty to a mild yeasty backbone and somewhat oxidised too - although this may not be oxidisation I’m picking - but it seems like it. Ends is a sticky sweet and yeasty and caramel malty finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of KimJohansen. A hazy orange beer with a rough, off-white head. Fat aroma of fruit, vitamin-C, yeast and a little honey. Quite full-bodied with plenty of fruit, yeast and alcohol. Distinct alcohol in the finish. 201008
