Tasting at Papsø The color is almost black. The aroma is not very strong, there is some roasted malt and bread, raisins, alcohol. Quite strong body; sweet caramel and chocolate flavor, a bit salty, with too much alcohol. Unbalanced.

Flavor is liquorice and chewy malts with a bit of alcohol in the back. Full bodied. Oily and vinous. Delicious!

(12oz bottle, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt, pine, caramel, molasses, raisins, and nuts. Flavor of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate, molasses, coffee, honey, and caramel with a sticky mouthfeel. A lot going on in this beer, although somewhat unbalanced. Hope it improves some with age.
