Draft to taster at the Eccentric Cafe. Abv is listed as 8.1%. looks solid; a little transparent for an imperial stout though. Cola with beige lacing. Smells of dark malt and chocolate. Tastes like it smells, only better, with notes of hops, vanilla, and honey. Good on the palate. Enjoyable.

Glass at the Eccentric Cafe on 3/30/13. Pitch black pour with a thick tan head. Malty nose with notes of chocolate and roast. Malty flavor turning to licorice and creamy chocolate before a bitter roasted malt finish.

pantanap (3351) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Tap at the source... Dark cola hue. Thin creamy light beige head... Aroma of molasses and cocoa with a mild roast perhaps touch of ash... Flavors of molasses with dark fruit and a mild roast quality. Slightly bitter finish. Full bodied, almost syrupywith adequate carbonation. Not bad but plenty of other ris to go for on top of this.

MrBunn (2450) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Sample at Eccentric. Body is deep brown and supports little head. Aromas are weakly hinting at coffee and dark brown sugar. Flavor is lots of coffee and a little anise that picks up on the tail end. Finish is bitter and licorice like.
