COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold body with a one finger fizzy white head that left some nice lacing. Nice slightly bready pils malts with a touch of Saaz on the nose. A little bit of a sulfur note and some light yeast as well. The flavor is a bit muddled with doughy malts and a little too much yeast influence. Fairly subdued hops and just a general flabbiness that lacks any crispness at all. A lingering sulfer taste with each sip doesn’t exactly invite you to take another. Not horrible, but one of the least enjoyable Bells beers I’ve come across.

This is not a good beer. Very yeasty in flavor... not enjoyable. Maybe good with a good spicy meal. Not for alone pleasure. Skip it!

Drank from a bottle called "Lager of the Lakes" Pours straw yellow with decent carbonation. Slightly sweet flavor. Nothing special.

12 oz. bottle from Belmont Party Supply. Labeled Lager of the Lakes- fairly nice label compared to most of Bell’s boring ones. Pours clear yellow-gold with visible rising carbonation and a big white head. Aroma of grains, straw, floral hops. Flavor is also grainy, with pale malt and hops. Maybe a light note of citrus. Light bodied with active carbonation. Good for a pilsener, but honestly this style doesn’t do a whole lot for me. I’m just happy it isn’t a green bottled skunky Euro pilsener, and it also beats any American macro lager if you’re looking for something similar in style.

355 ml bottle thanks to Schroppfy, as "Bell’s Lager Beer" on December 30, 2009
Shady golden color, smallish white head. Vegetable and sugary scent. Malty, sweet, sugary, vegetable taste. Medium to thin mouthfeel. Shirt sweet aftertaste.

Pours straw yellow with thin head. Good malty, almost pilsner aroma with some mild hopping. Crisp, malty flavor with light balanced hop. Medium mouthfeel. Light and bubbly. Packs more flavor than what it appears.

Bottled. Thanks gnoff. Pale golden colour. Low head. Internationell standard lager aroma, not much dms but a lifeless, mineraly feeling along with honey. Really lifeless body and flavour, bit papery and low bitterness.
