COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

Pkgd 05/27/11. Pours a pale gold with a foamy white head that leaves some lacing. The beer is rather dull by light lager standards. Smells like an american lager. Yeasty and unrefined with an awkward bit of hops. The flavor is okay. Tastes more like a pale ale than say a Helles lager.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Pilsner glass. Bottled on May 11, 2011. Appearance: Clear pale yellow with fairly thin white head and not much lacing. Almost a strong appearance, but the lack of head and lacing is a minor problem. Aroma: Pepper, citrus and some other light fruitiness. Quite strong hay and straw characteristics as well. Almost a great aroma, but it didn’t last. Taste: Semi-sweet fruity malt backbone that is enveloped by lemon, pepper, straw and a nice lingering bitterness. Almost a really great tasting lager but is dampened by a metallic and grainy aftertaste. Palate: High carbonation, light body, with a crisp, mostly dry finish. A little too tingly. Almost. Overall: This really is a beer of "almosts". This is so close to a world class lager, but just misses the mark in every category.

12 oz bottle from the brewery, served in a lager glass. Pours clear straw with a small white head. The head fades slowly to a thin remnant and leaves behind a small amount of fine lace. The aroma has grass, hay, pale malts, lemon and plenty of hops. The flavour is moderately hoppy bitter with dryish malts. The finish is clean and refreshing. On the palate, it is light in body, smooth and slightly dry. Overall, a fairly simple lager with a refreshing, hoppy character. Better than I thought it would be. 2011-08-29

12 oz bottle pours a golden color with a nice white head. Ligth aromas of grass, and some biscuity malt. Light bodied, clean, crisp, easy summer drinking

12 oz Bottle. Pours a bright yellow gold with medium head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is a grassy biscuit with hoppiness. Crisp, clean taste some hay, interesting hop character for a lager. This is a smooth drinker and it has what the macros don’t,......character, a slight mouthy feel, and no adjunct taste. Definitely high on my summer session beer list.....your neighbor’s wife will drink it!

light, crisp, snappy, mildy biscuit like with a bit of hop sharpness. i do have to say that as lagers go, this one is pretty tasty. could definitely put a few of these away no problem.

Pours clearish gold. Somewhat sweet, maybe caramel or cereal, as well as some zesty lemon. Not bad.

Pale golden with foamy head. Smells malty and sour. Starts assertive on tongue with a little sour, then round in the middle, with a dry finish. Not bad for what it is but not my thing.
