COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As refreshingly crisp as a morning swim in a Great Lake, this brew is crafted with Pils and Munich malts. The pronounced hop character of this golden lager sparks thoughts of sandy beaches and rocky islands.

Pours amber from bottle with little head. Aroma not much differentiation. Taste is crisp and clean. It’s lager easy to mess up hard to do well but even if you do it well what’s the upside.

12 oz bottle. Some mellow nut and grassy bitterness in this pils/lager, give it a light leg up on the norm. The pour is what you’d expect with some bubbly starch white head, a crisp, clean looking body with minor carbonation and golden yellow in color. A decently carbonated body, light and bitter. Nutty grains and herbal grassy hop are the main players. Some earth, light mineral, and minor mild fruit in the finish. A decent lager, though pretty uninteresting in the scheme of things.

A: The pour is a clear straw color with a short lived white head that’s about a finger and a half tall. S: Lots of toasted, almost burnt, grain and malt. Definitely some corn aroma, maybe a bit of grass and straw. Maybe a little bit of bread in there, too. T: Surprisingly bitter with a fair amount of pine, maybe a little bit of skunk. Corn, which provides some sweetness, and there’s a definite grainy character to it as well. Pretty simple flavor profile here. M: The body is light to medium with a moderate carbonation and a lingering bitterness and/or astringency. D: A pretty rare miss from Bells, at least in terms of their regular lineup.

Draft at Barley’s. Clear gold pour with thin white head. Bready scent with sweet hoppy notes. Buttered bread taste with hop notes. Enjoyable lager

Bottle. Clear and almost looks like white grape juice and a bit viscous in the the glass with a white head. Appley fruitiness and Bell’s house yeast aromas with a bit of grass/hay. Flavor is quite crisp and cleanish, with a light sour and grass along with light mealy flavors. Light body as expected and vigorous carbonation. Decent stuff for what the style is.

Bottle thanks to Nate. Pours a very clear straw color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet corn and honey. The flavor is a clean and smooth lager; grains, corn, light honey and sweetness. Earthy and smooth. Nice. Very drinkable.

Rather murky in flavor, not crisp, can tell that not pasteurizing it makes it much bigger in flavor and overall a great beer.

12 ounce bottle - $1.87 at Ale Yeah! in Decatur, Georgia. Batch #10006.

Appearance: Pours out a crystalline, yellow body with a sudsy, snow white head. Small smattering of lace on the way down.

Smell: Lightly sweetish cereal grains on the aroma with the seemingly noble hops imparting hints of lightly spicy dried herbs.

Taste: Pils malts stirred up with a handful of day-old toasted biscuit tops. Lightly sweet, lightly grainy upfront. Spicy, zesty, faintly floral hop character, adequate, in terms of bitterness. A single, solitary drop of lemon. Increasingly drying as you reach the finish with a small bit of bitterness holding on for the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: No fancy tricks, no barrel-aging, no over-the-top hop profile, just a fine, serviceable, quaffable lager. Exactly what I needed on this mid-afternoon!
