4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful dark crimson color, with floating yeasties in this sample, with a huge, creamy, light tan head...lovely appearance. Aroma, malt, nuts, small fruit, cola-ish, yeasty. Taste: mmm, thick malt, just-so hops, significant mouthfeel, rich and fruity, yielding much more flavor than the typical brown, definitely more than the major producers of the style. Stands full on the palate, big bodied, lush, tasty, never-ending finish. This truly outdoes almost any brown ale you can name, I've always been happy when tossing them back, and have found it absolute heaven on tap, the rare times I've got to taste it.
The yeast, the fruit, the huge flavor, the massive, warm mouthfeel, puts Best Brown in a class of it's own, clearly the best brown I've ever downed!

Mine was nice brown- when held up to light, just screamed gorgeous ruby red. Okay med. nice white and coffee colored head. Some malts, toffee, nuts. Pretty smooth, medium body. This was kind of a medium beer for me, except for the color. Didn't stop me from emptying the sixer in two hours.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orangey Brown coloured with almost ruby reflects displaying an honest small-to-medium white head. Aroma is loaded with sweet malt giving it this particular flavor that I can never find the right english word to describe (Sucre d'orge). Overall very sweet , but nevertheless balanced although I didn't have more than 7-8 sips. Suggestions of vanilla, honey, ginger, milk chocolate and a fruitiness approaching cherry at times. Finish displays a slight note of hops in a ashes like manner. Body is medium-full and fits the medium flavor intensity perfectly.

Brown sugar clamping on to silky almond skins...Dry yeasty sympathy and bitter initiative...An unusual and complex brown ale which deserves study...

Fruity, brown sugar aroma with some alcohol noted. Orange-tan body with small, off-white head. Mild spiciness with candy sugar-like flavour balanced by a lasting bitterness. Medium body with a nice effervescence. Bottle.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Orangey brown color with med slightly creamy head, fading to a thin layer. Full rising carbonation. Rich malty aroma with caramel, small amount of chocolate, light fruit. Hint of earthy and herbal hops (also slightly woody and mushroomy and not entirely pleasant...Northern Brewer?). Nice roundly sweet Britishy malt flavor up front, caramelly, nutty and light fruity. Herbal finish. Carbonation is a bit strong/biting, almost detracting from smoothness and hence drinkability - it almost doesn't feel like natural carbonation. Let it sit in the glass, especially if its too cold, but also to release the carbonation, and it becomes a really nice English Brown Ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark ruby color with a lingering, frothy beige head that left nice lacing behind. Fruity and nutty aroma. Nice bitterness to the flavor and a full feel in the mouth. Another good Bell beer.

Pours with a strange translucency--or maybe it's my bleary eyes and not the beer that's shimmering. Brown ales look fine, no doubt about it. This baby was full of pecans and walnuts and caramel--basically, you could pour it over ice cream and have yourself a sundae. Mmm!

Yo BigBadBear63, thanks foe sending me the brew homey, WORD UP! –for windows that is.
The head and lacing on this beer is retarded! It’s just a massive light caramel colored cloud resting atop an amber / brown body. Large chunks of sediment looking like oatmeal sink to the bottom as others float around the brew. The aroma is full of chocolate, toffee, caramel, a little buttermilk, and walnuts. Let’s take a sip……. Big notes of toffee, a very unique use of hops in this beer adds a strange buttermilk bitterness. If I could drink a Cyprus tree I think it might taste like this here Brown Ale, except the ale would certainly have a smother palate.

not bad, On tap, no head nor bubbles nor lacing on the glass. Smooth and fairly clean mouth. Nose of hops and matls faintly with a hint of chocolate or nutt maybe? The taste is dominated by hops, but not in an overwhelming way. Overall a good easy drink.
