COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth, toasty brown ale, Best Brown Ale is a mainstay in our fall & winter lineup. With hints of caramel and cocoa, the malt body has the depth to stand up to cool weather, but does not come across as heavy. This balancing act is aided by the generous use of American hops.

Draft at RFD. Pours clear tawny brown with a creamy light beige head and some decent lacing. Aroma is toasted and bready malts, mixed nuts, light toffee, dates, and light woody notes. Flavor is dry malts, light sweetness, light floral hops, and some subtle nut notes. Dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

The aroma of this brew is light but hints of caramel malts (without much else) comes through, but the appearance is a gorgeous cloudy orangeish brown color with a small off-white head. The taste is mildly umami, slightly sour, and slightly sweet; furthermore, the palate combines a long malty finish, medium body, slick texture, and a soft carbonation.

Pours out into a copper color with very small tan head. Aroma is that of a malty coffee. Light hoppy taste with a quick dry after taste. Excellent beer brewed in Michigan, would defentely buy again!

12oz bottle. Just got it, Fresh, pours a friendly looking brown. Mild roasted malt aromas. Mild fruity malt flavors. Nicely balanced and smooth. Any other flavors are in the background, not easy to perceive. Simple but good, and easy to drink. This is what a Brown ale should be.

A reddish brown ale with a thin brown head. In aroma, nice peaty caramel malt with dark fruits and light licorice, coffee, very nice. In mouth, a nice woody caramel with vinous notes, coffee, musty notes, light grassy hops, veering on old ale.

12oz bottle. Brown with a small beige head. Aroma of doughy malts, coffee, vanilla and light citrus. Flavor is lots of malty bread dough with some light hop bitterness. Medium body with soft carbonation. Solid brown ale, lrich and malty. The best ale I have had in 2013. An exceptionally good beer.

Bottle from Kroger. Nose is bready malt and wood (not that kind). Pour is deep brown with little head. Smooth and full with lots of roasted malt taste; a bit of nuts (not that kind) too. good but a bid acrid and that brings it down a bit. ---Rated via my mouth
