COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth, toasty brown ale, Best Brown Ale is a mainstay in our fall & winter lineup. With hints of caramel and cocoa, the malt body has the depth to stand up to cool weather, but does not come across as heavy. This balancing act is aided by the generous use of American hops.

Wonderful beer, truly smooth and great flavor. It’s almost like a light stout or porter beer. It has all of the notes of those types of beer, chocolate and coffee notes with a little roast but without the full bodied punch of a porter or a stout. A nice spicy, caramel finish rounds off this flavorful but subdued beer. Fantastic for this time of year, fall quickly becoming winter.

Can pour from Wally’s. Aroma is sweet caramel, with some dark fruits and yeasty. Appearance is clear dark brown mahogany without sparkle with two-finger width light brown head that diminishes to ring with decent lacing. Taste is sweet toasted malt with caramel. Palate is medium bodied with creamy texture, average carbonation with late lively zing to the tip of the tongue and sweet caramel finish. Overall, true to style but borders on unfinished side.

Pours opaque brown with a creamy white head that holds well; spicy nose, nice palate - evocative of fall weather. Nice crisp finish.

Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Light/medium aroma of sweeter malts, bit vanilla and a hint of caramel, still bit sour. Deep brown/red color with medium/small light beige head and hazy liquid. Medium balanced taste with malts and caramel, some syrup ans a hint of vanilla. Medium taste spectrum and medium soft aftertaste with a bit roasted malts. Light/medium body with light carbonation. Overall, good high quality flavors, although could be more punch both in flavor and body. This would be nice to see in 8.5% class.

From the bottle before is clear and a nice orange and red hued color with a medium head that dissipates a little quick, the aroma is nutty, almost like almonds, with malty notes. The taste is immediately rich a good toasted malt taste. It is not a deep beer with complex flavors, but it is a solid brown that highlights all the flavors a brown ale should have.
