Bottled. A murky orange-brown beer with a fast disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet fruity combined with lighter notes of alcohol and prunes. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin.

From bottle, 2B Papsoes New Zealand vs US blind tasting. Pours murky brown/orange with a lacing off- white head. Dried fruity and wineous aroma. Mild woody note. Flavour is fruity and mild woody, light dryness. Somewhat too dry and woody for my liking with no body to follow. Very minor oxidised note.

Bottled. Ruby colour, firm head. Aroma of crystal malt and grapefruit. Rather sweet. Chewy crystal malt flavour balanced by the bitterness added by flowery hops and a fair punch of warming alcohol. Pretty godd, but Kalamazoo does the really dark and heavy ones better.

Hazy orange coloured with a small off white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel and burnt sugar with notes of hops and pine needles.
Sweet flavour of caramel, burnt sugar, liquorice and pine needles.
Hoppy finish.

(Bottle) Pours an orangish-brown body with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma of toasted malt. Flavor of toffee, malt, and a hint of dark fruit. A bit bitter in the finish.

Bottle at Detroit airport pre DLD trip... brown bubnbly tan head ... sweet pale ale hop ... little toffee .. light malt ... little more toffee and a little licorice than amber but i though quite simelar... again served too cold.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2003 (Bells Brickskeller tasting 10/03) Clear erd brown body with off-white head. Aroma is artificail blueberry. Medium sweet flavor, blueberry, nutty/roasty, light chocolate. Watery medium body. (5/3/6/3/12)(Bells Brickskeller tasting 11/02) Clear red brown body with light tan head. Aroma and flavor are both sweet caramel and roasty.
