A smooth, toasty brown ale, Best Brown Ale is a mainstay in our fall & winter lineup. With hints of caramel and cocoa, the malt body has the depth to stand up to cool weather, but does not come across as heavy. This balancing act is aided by the generous use of American hops.

Bottle, Pours brown amber with thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet eathy malty caramel, coffee, faint chocolate and light hops. Taste is oak woody caramel, toffee, chocolate with a light hoppy finish. Medium bodied beer with good carbonation. Not my favorite style of beer of this is a decent brew.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a beautiful hazy dark amber in color with a minimal beige head. Aroma is bland--slight notes of malts. Malty in flavor with a slightly Belgian taste. The alcohol isnít completely hidden, but itís not that noticeable. Overall, good for a brown ale, but not quite up to the standards that Iíve set for Bells.

Not a big fan of the style. Light brown with a thin head. Very roasty (seems like victory or biscuit malt). Lightly hopped and very drinkable. Not bad

Bottle - Pours hazy dark brown with quite a bit of visible sediment and a thin white head. Smell is malty sweet with a touch of cocoa and caramel. Palate is somewhat watery and thin with a good amount of carbonation. A touch of malty sweetness in the upfront taste. Follow through is somewhat sour, bitter hops. A touch of dried fruit and alcohol warming in the aftertaste. Overall, an okay brown ale, but I will definitely be exploring more in this style before giving it another try.

Pours a cloudy nut brown with a thick but quickly disappearing head. Mild cocoa and some berry. Hopping is mild, a little bit of a metallic aftertaste. Ok. Not as good as other Bell's brews. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

very good, Im drinking it yet again. A fall favorite. Theres nothing like taking as 6 pack of Bells Best Brown to the woods in the fall, making a fire, and drinking them with your buds.

Bottle. Pours.. well umm brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is strange.. like a mix of grapes and asparagus. Flavor is mild with some small hints of chocolate, malty and has a nutty finish. Palate is tingly, and leaves a lasting impression on the tongue. Good brew.
