3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beige fluffy head with heavy lacing. Dark french roast coffee aroma, with hints of dark chocolate. Taste matching aroma with an oily smooth palate. Enjoyable brown all around, good for breaking people into darker beers.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I will keep this simple...the best american brown hands down.... It has hints of caramel and a faint smokiness. Oh so smooth and malty finish.

Pours a chestnut brown color with darker shades with a good frothy white head. The aroma is nutty and malty, accompanied by caramel and tree bark. The flavor is also very malty and oaty, wtih a nutty caramel finish, along with some cola and a slight presence of hops.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours out a hazy deep amber/brown color with a great frothy head. Aroma is bitter and sharp with sweet notes and some what funky. The flavor I get is bitter nuts with faint caramel. Alcohol evident and finishes dry. Seems to be a simple one dimensional brew. I don’t understand it, I was expecting a much better product. I will try it again and re-rate in a few weeks to if I got a bad bottle or I may be off tonight.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle. Subtle aroma, pours brown in color, about what you would expect from an iced tea. A thick head that settles and leaves just a slight foam at the top. Tastes ’roasted’, and leaves a somewhat dry feeling aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark, transparent brown. Slight but lasting foamy white head. Small nose of coco and malt. Malty, chocolate, otherwise simple flavor. A good brown ale, but not a great one. Mouth feel is too carbonated, and kills any complexity that this might have. I could drink several of these, but I thought this would be better.
