Tasted from tap into pint glass. Pours caramel brown with small light tan head. Aroma is sweet, caramel. Tastes sweet up front with a nice, mild hoppy finish. Some toast and almost floral notes. Nice mouthfeel. Good beer.

An amber brown beauty! Smells comforting, like napping in the sunshine. Sweet and mild and friendly. Roasted and caramelly. Smooth coconut aftertaste.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured into a glass mug.
Appearance: Pours dirty rusty brown with about one finger of off white head that diminishes quickly.
Aroma: Very faint smells of malt and nut.
Taste: Tastes like a good example of an average brown ale. Itís malty, and sweet, with a small hop note on the end.
Palate: Medium body, pretty average mouth feel really.
Overall: Bellís Best Brown Ale is not Bellís best beer. As far as brown ales go Iíd rather have an Dogfish Indian Brown Ale, or Rogue Hazelnut. Not a bad beer though, Iíve had many that were much more mediocre.

The pour is a dark amber with a soft head. The first thing that hit my nose was the intense nutty smell. It has a sweet musty undertone as well, as if it were aged in a cellar. The body is perfect. Each sip taken is better than the previous. There is a definite roasted malt taste. Drinking Bells Best Brown Ale was a great experience.

This oneís better if not too cold. Not a traditional brown; there are some interesting things going on the malt and yeast that make for an interesting finish.

An good example of a nice Brown ale. Not necessarily my thing but since its Bells, I had to try it. I was not disappointed.
