Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Hazy brown colour with a little head. Great aroma of caramel, toffee, and malt. Flavour of malt and toffee - a nice tasty finish!
MaltDawg (180), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 4, 2008 Off taps at Capital Ale House. Dark amber brown with small fluffy white head. Slight roast and carmel malt aroma.
Medium full creamy body with light carbonation. Rich roasty rather sweet with touch of fruityness. Finish is fairly sweet with a bit of residual earthy hop bitterness. Pushing a stout...and very tasty. Beerded_one (1549), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a light tan head. Aroma of toasted caramel malts with notes of brown sugar and nuts. Flavor is roasty with caramel, nuts, grain and a hint of chocolate with a light hop bitterness medium body with a dry finish. Decent brew. FlssmrBrewAlum (148), South Chicago Suburbs, Illinois, USA Jun 5, 2008 12 oz. bottle from John’s Grocery (Iowa City, IA). Pours a hazy hazelnut brown with a small light brown head that seems solid and doesn’t noticeably dissipate. Aromas of sweet dark malts, some fruity notes, a nutty feel, and a mild hoppiness. Initial taste composed of nuttiness, sweet and toasty darker malts, and a pleasant sweetness that I can’t really put my finger on. Touches of cocoa and smoke also. Finishes nice and bitter but great as the hops come into the picture. A really good medium bodied brown ale. ThaBobfather (130), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 27, 2008 Pours a very deep brown with complex-for-a-brown smell of autumn. Good malt flavor and texture. Quality beer. Rciesla (674), Brick City, New Jersey, USA May 26, 2008 Bottle. Pours a brown body with a lighter tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, fruit and earthy. Flavor is that but the flavor also yields the low abv with this delicate malt blend.
