3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: Malty. A bit of roastiness in there. some nuttiness. Rather light.
A: Hazy lighter brown with perfect creamy light tan head.
T: A bit light on the flavor but it is complimented well but the heavy mouthfeel. As with the smell, a slight nuttiness, some maltiness. Some creaminess.
P: This sits with way more body than I expected. A very creamy mouthfeel. Sits quite heavy which isn’t a bad thing. Lost a point due to some dull aggressive bitterness.
O: This is a great beer. The mouthfeel is really what brings this one together. The flavors a light but it the creamy texture compliments they well.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells nice but not overly complex, hint of medium sweet caramely malt, leafy earthy hops. Brown and not too hazy, quickly fading brown head. Not a big fan of the taste, upfront slightly sour, but this mixes strangely with the caramel notes. Finishes lightly caramel with a hint of sourness. Not fresh? Infected? Either way, not too exciting. Medium/light bodied and average carbonation.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy garnet colour with a tan head. Aromas of dark malts, woody/straw notes, cocoa, and light brown sugar. Taste wise, mineral heavy with woody/straw notes up front that leads into larger malt notes, cocoa, and a little bit of coffee-like bitterness in the mineral finish. Entirely solid British style ale, with maybe a little more body than your standard brown ale, and very much focusing on the malt. Would pair up great with a hearty meal.

473 ml can from BOTW, shared with Phil. Deep ruby-mahogany with a fair tan head. Rich, sweet malt, nutty, lightly roasted, a bit of toffee, slightly vinous. Medium+ body with creamy carbonation. Rich sweet maltiness, nutty and slightly roasty, some toffee, a little vinous; off-dry with gentle bitterness and a decent yet clean malt finish.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Beautiful dark brown cocoa color with an amazing fluffy white head that sticks around for a bit. Tastes extremely smooth with hints of chocolate and malt. Only lacking feature was aroma.

Pretty good/decent brown ale. Not bitter at all. Mildly sweet, malty ale. Slight alcohol flavor present. Not bad though.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nutty, toasty, caramel. Dark crystal malt. Not too sweet. Lots of English yeast character, with that fruity estery thing, is not my favorite. Spicy hops are nice. Well balanced brown ale, good body, but not really my style.

Outdoors, mid 40s temps, poured into a frosted mug. Small fire going. This beer is excellent for the situation described. Deep flavors with a superb hoppy finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
