Amber in color, with sediment visible through out. Two finger head, brown in color, again with sediment speckled throughout. Decent flavor, would enjoy this beer again.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a beautiful hazy dark amber in color with a minimal beige head. Aroma is bland--slight notes of malts. Malty in flavor with a slightly Belgian taste. The alcohol isn’t completely hidden, but it’s not that noticeable. Overall, good for a brown ale, but not quite up to the standards that I’ve set for Bells.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Caramel, crystal malt, and a sugary candy-like aroma.
Body is a nice light brown, with and nicely forming head.
Taste is a little fruity for a brown, with light caramel.

(12oz bottle) pours a dark amber... brown. with a creamy looking off white head. aroma is nutty and malty, a little sweet caramel in there too. mouthful is smooth with a clean crisp feel, almost too dry.. void of character.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
’07 Bottle: Pours a dark brown/ruby color with a small cream head. Very nutty aroma with some roasted malt notes, somewhat earthy and some subtle hop aspects. Medium-light body with flavors consisting of sweet malt and, again some nuttiness. The occasional chocolate malt note comes through and catches me off guard, but it is far too seldom. Overall...a bit thin, but still quite tasty.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear red, well carbonated with a very creamy head. Nutty, toasted caramel malt aroma with a touch of vanilla. Smooth and sweet with caramel and a little chocolate flavor. Nice rich body. Mellow hop presence. Finishes a bit metallic and sour. I think this bottle may be out of date.

12 oz bottle via Mys Swap 3.0 (thanks to whoever sent this). Pours a semi clear dark reddish brown with a massive beige head. Nose is malted grains and biscuits. Taste starts semi-sweet, then some oasted grains, nuts and a bit of citrus orange-peal. And damn it is giving me a sneezing attack. Body is medium and carbonation is moderate. Style is one of my least favs, but this is a decent brown ale.
