Poured a caramelly brown that was slightly cloudy. The head was one finger, off-white and a little bit fluff. Decent lacing. The aroma was a bit on the thin side, a bit of roasted malt came through, but that was about it. The flavor was roasted malt, a hint of sweetness (I wish I had tasted more) and slightly bitter finish. Decent.

Plain, light brown, no head.
NOT MUCH of a scent- why?
Ordinary nut brown beer flavor- a bit bitter- nothing new, nothing special. Not bad.
Drinkable, especially for those who don't want to attempt something slightly risky.

Pretty amber/brown pour. Bubbles a bit large and soda-like. minor temporary lacing. Aroma of eastern European lager with a touch of clover honey. Taste same with some caramel. Mouthfeel a bit thin/ watery. Not so hot.

Clear chestnut colour with a thick, dense brownish head, leaving shards of lace. Something vaguely sweet-caramel, toffee, bit of hosp, dry cacaopowder; sweet and vaguely woody. Sweet-ish, green leaves, bit of greenmalt, arachide with a retronasal bitterness that clashes with the sweet initial flavour, instead of blending. Chocolate flavours, certainly warming up. Medium bodied, at least, quite slick, bit too much mouthburning to be called smooth. It’s not really bad, but its lack of balance annoys me no end. I wonder if Mr. Bell wanted to explore the limits of archaic styles?

Faint aroma. Amber brown hue with a small tan head. Flavor is faint but sweet and then bitter. Watery flat. Weak over all.
