3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A beautiful tan head sat atop this light-brown, cloudy ale. Aroma was malty. Taste was full, malty-sweet and maybe just a teeny-bit sour. Not bad sour, it complimented the taste. No hops to speak of anywhere, and the finish was very smooth. Great beer for everyday drinking, but not neccesarily for late evening enjoyment. Would make a great introduction beer for the un-initiated because of the overall smoothness.

Can. Dark cola with a nice tan head. Aroma is dark fruit and cocoa. Taste follows and adds some caramel. Very light and creamy mouthfeel. Good but could use a bit of roastiness or something to balance the sweetness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice large head with good retention. Opaque copper/brown. Wonderful caramel, roast, chocolate, citrus and heavy malt aroma. Delectable. Smooth and creamy texture coupled with initial flavours of caramel, malt, and chocolate and finishing with a mildly sour/grassy hop. Very good, although could be slightly more hoppy and carbonated.

16 oz can from Total Wine & More - Gilbert, AZ. Brown and clear appearance with a lacy tan head. Aroma is rich, toasty and roasty with notes of light toffee, earthy hops and caramel malts. Similar flavor, smooth and easy to drink with an average body and a bittersweet finish.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells nice but not overly complex, hint of medium sweet caramely malt, leafy earthy hops. Brown and not too hazy, quickly fading brown head. Not a big fan of the taste, upfront slightly sour, but this mixes strangely with the caramel notes. Finishes lightly caramel with a hint of sourness. Not fresh? Infected? Either way, not too exciting. Medium/light bodied and average carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy garnet colour with a tan head. Aromas of dark malts, woody/straw notes, cocoa, and light brown sugar. Taste wise, mineral heavy with woody/straw notes up front that leads into larger malt notes, cocoa, and a little bit of coffee-like bitterness in the mineral finish. Entirely solid British style ale, with maybe a little more body than your standard brown ale, and very much focusing on the malt. Would pair up great with a hearty meal.
