4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the best Brown Ales I have ever tasted. No surprise with the title then. Smooth Carmel, deep calm, pleasant tone, warm body. Hard to drink just one.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – As the name would suggest the beer pours a brown color with a light hint of orange seen when held up to the light. Upon pouring a one finger cream colored head is present. The head fades lowly over time leaving a ton of nice foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a roasted malt, brown bread and molasses smell. Mixed with these aromas are some sweeter fruit aromas of both light and dark varieties with some apple, pear, and a hint of cherry. Rounding out the smells is a lighter earthy hop aromas smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a lightly roasted bready taste mixed with some caramel and molasses. The flavor gets a bit more roasted more toward the middle, but also gets a bit fruitier with some of the apple and pear that were in the nose detected on the tongue. The sweeter flavors start to dwindle however more in the middle, being replaced by some more bitter hop tastes of an earthy and herbal nature. Some more bitter nut like tastes come to the tongue more toward the end of the taste, with the mix of flavors leaving a nicely hopped, slightly drier and lighter roasted bready taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average side. Both were a nice blend for keeping an easy drinking brew, all the while supporting the blend of hop, fruit, and roasted flavors.
Overall – A rather enjoyable brown ale. It has a nice level of sweetness, hop and roast to make for an easy drinking and tasty brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good solid fall beer. Leave the pumpkin this and the pumpkin that for the pumpkin heads and settle in with an original fall beer style. An excellent interpretation of a brown and an easy drinking one at that. A little bit hoppier and a little less maltier than a lot of browns makes this very smooth, though I would have preferred a lil more malt.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Hazy deep copper brown with thin off-white foam. Feels a bit juicier and fruitier than expected for a brown ale. Blood oranges. Dates. Red plums and grapes. Strong hints of chocolate nibs in the mix. Ruby grapefruit cocoa. Reasonably full body. Hints of agave, tomato and pimiento. Not the best brown ale but quite interesting from the standard.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours hazy chestnut brown with the slightest orange tinge. Light brown head ain't much and fades quickly to a rim. Aroma is toasted malts, a bit or caramel and some cocoa overtones. Creamy with moderate carbonation and short flavor profile. Taste is lightly toasted malts, a wee bit of caramel and cocoa and substantial hop bitterness that really overwhelms the finish and aftertaste. A good brown that would be better with amped malts.
