Bottle from Brent shared at Tom ’s. Pours murky black with brown head that fades. Nose is slighty nutty, coffee and dark chocolate. first sip is burnt sugar, oak, boubon and dark roasted flavors.finish is molasses and bitter coffee. nice but I thought it was going to be better.

12 oz bottle. 2014. Was only able to buy one 12 oz bottle. Very good bourbon barrel stout. I think I liked kbs better. A bit too sweet and boozy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4/22/14. 2014 bottle. Pours jet black with a thin mocha head. Bourbon and cherry/dark fruit nose. Deep dark complex mouth with lots of hop and chocolate bitterness balanced with fruit and alcohol. Super big but nothing dominates. Yummy! Wish I had more to put up because it will age well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Finally! 2014 Bottle. Pours opaque brown-black with a fizzy light brown head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, molasses, more cocoa, wood, earth, syrupy, caramel, hint of coffee, toffee, alcohol. Smells amazing. Taste is remarkable; huge flavor profile, coffee, chocolate, caramel, espresso, light herbal bitterness, bourbon, wood, creaminess; finish is bitter chocolate and espresso. Nice laces throughout. Low carbonation. Rich, full, syrupy mouth feel. This is fantastic. World class beer.

2012 bottle tasted 4/2014. Generously shared by BLADT. Rum raisin cake nose. Very strong smell. Fatty butteriness, thick and smooth. Roasted chocolate and whiskey finish. Medicinal sweetness. Prefer KBS, but an unbelievably distinct beer taste.

2012 bottle. Pours very dark, like motor oil. Quickly disappearing beige head. Nose is booze cake and raisons, almost buttery at times, with subtle roasted beans. Taste is remarkably smooth and balanced. Full bodied. The pieces here fit together perfectly. Elements of chocolate, rum cake, plums, and rye. A true sipper. I really enjoyed this.

Bottle: pours deep black with a nice thick tan head. Aromas are bourbon, booze and fruit. Taste is a wonderful balance of dark fruit and booze with some chocolate. This is balanced wonderfully and I love the great bourbon finish. Amazing example of a bourbon stout. Love it.

2014 bottle at Four Roses Cafe, Plainview Michigan. Black with quickly dissipating foam. Aroma is nice blend of bourbon and dark malt with neither being overwhelming or astringent. Taste is creamy to begin with, bourbon blending in nicely, bit of licorice tang, mild vanilla, bitter finish; beautiful. Unlike many imperial stouts this one doesn’t jump around trying to impress, but is both interesting and so well crafted. Delicious. Abv is extremely well hidden. Finish is slightly bitter with some subtle but distinct bourbon barrel character. Gold. Overall, perhaps my favorite beer now - could drink a few of these mainly cause it is neither astringent or over the top with bourbon. Great times!
