Draft, Roll out the Barrel Party at the Eccentric Cafe. Deep brown-black body, medium dense tan/cream head. Tart, roasty nose with lots of grape. Light, pillowy, surprisingly non-sour but modestly funky body. Creamy and rather delicate.

Aroma is sour, cranberry, concord grape. Appearance is dark brown, light brown head. Taste is sour, cranberry, grape juice. Mouthfeel is decent, thick for a sour mm. Overall this should be classified a sour instead of a stout.

On draft at All Stouts Day. The pour is pretty dark, with some hints of red in the color. The head is thin and filmy , leaving a spotty lace. The aroma is very sour. Light floral and fruit notes come through, but there isn't anything that blows me away. The taste is surprisingly sour. The fruity notes blast Through and the floral takes a back seat. This is good as a sour/wild ale, but not so much when it would be classified as a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at bells... Pours cola black, reddish edges and topped with a thin creamy off-white head... Brett grapey funk, sour dark malts and cocoa in the aroma... Flavors are earth, light funk and mild tartness. Cocoa middle and earthy finish. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Not bad and more bretty than stouty.

Brentv (327) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 29, 2013
On tap at Bellís Eccentric Cafe. Black with light tan head. Little lacing. Aroma is bourbon with roasted malts. Flavor is acidic and tart followed by the roasted malts. OK but not rich as I hoped.

Draft @ Bells. Pours an opaque dark brown, minimal head. Taste is lightly sour, roasted malt with a mild bourbon accent.

Tap pour at EC - dirty brown pour with no head to speak of - slightest lacing at the edges. Aroma is very woody and sour/tart...got a bit of horse blanket going here, but enough malt and other attributes to keep things in check - good nose! Flavor is unique and somewhat vinous - decent level of sourness, but it doesnít overpower like most sour/wild ale style brews. No real good notes, but I did enjoy this beer - very unique, and I couldnít put down more than a standard glass of this, but I would order it again, and thatís the sign of a good brew IMO.

rosenbergh (6664) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 7, 2013
Draught at the Bellís Eccentric Cafť, Kalamazoo, MI.
Black colour with some red hue and a small tan head. Brett in the aroma. Some vinegar, malt and whiskey sweetness there too. Excellent aroma. The flavour is pure brett too. Mild sweet malt, mild whiskey sweetness and sourness. The flavour is a bit easier than the aroma.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2014 Tap: Black in the center, dark brown around the edges. Light tan head lasts as a thin film and leaves good lacing on its way down. Aroma is strange. Little roast, noticeable Brett funk, light pineapple, some lemon and citrus skin tartness, underlying and vague malty sweetness. Kind of vapid and hard to figure out. Taste is even lighter than expected. Very mild roast, toasty cocoa powder, some sweaty Brett, musty pineapple and abstract fruit peels. Light cola flavors, highly carbonated. Again, all of these flavors are so toned down... this beer is very light and hard to grasp. Light cotton-must finish from the Brett. But everything throughout is way too muted. Enigmatic... Canít figure this one out, but itís not bad. Just needs to be turned up a notch.
