4oz draft at Churchkey for meet the brewer event. Poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, caramel notes, some light booze, but not overpowering. Plenty of sweet malts, caramel, pine, pretty enjoyable.

4 ounce draft at ChurchKey poured into a tasting snifter. Pours hazy caramel brown with off-white head and nice lacing. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, floral notes, light booze. Tasting notes of caramel, citrus, pine, light booze. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-light carbonation, light syrupy mouthfeel.

Draft at crunchy's. Amber with a small head. Lighter and fruitier than expected. Weird booze in the end.

On tap at Bell’s recently. I’m not sure why the low overal rating. I found this to be quite enjoyable. Smooth and boozy with a low ABV for a barleywine. Not the greatest but it was well crafted in my opinion.

Tap pour at Bell’s last month - amber brown pour with little to no head. Aroma is sweet and malty, brown sugar, hint of dark fruit, splash of booze. Flavor is kind of muted for a barley wine...malt forward, caramel, hint of dark fruit (not dominant), and alcohol in the background - hint of hops, but far from dominant. Palate was medium to high carbonation for the style and the ABV was evident. Mixed feelings on this one - not that bold for the style, but sometimes taking the foot off the gas isn’t a bad thing...would have it again, but wouldn’t seek it out..

Draught at the Bell’s Eccentric Café, Kalamazoo, MI. 8.2%.
Hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Dark fruits and mild maltiness in the aroma. Quite easy and mild for a Barley Wine. The flavour is fruits, dark fruits, strong hops. Like fruit punch and booze mixed together. Very strong flavour.

On tap at bells, herbal aroma with some additional hop flavoring... not bad, I had just hoped for more

Tap sample at EC. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy herbal, citrus hop and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex sweet flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is was a solid beer but soft for style.
