Very much wine taste. Barley like it says. Very heavy head that held well. Dark gold color. Had a very strong aftertaste. Good beer. Not a favorite though.

Glass at Time with Remy, pours reddish brown with small head. Reminds me more of a quad or Belgian strong, notes are grape, Belgian malt, wet wood, and other dark fruits. Medium body and carbonation. Just ok.

Draught at Beer Trappe. Light caramel and toffee. Some light sweetness with sugar. A light barley wine but tasty.

Sample at Bell’s on 5/18/14. Clear copper in color with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel and red wine. Malty and vinous flavor with a minty cherry finish. Interesting.

On tap at the Eccentric Café. The pour is a clearish ruby/amber with a thin ring of white head and some decent lace. The aroma is quite fruity with a decent malt character, but beyond that, it's just bland. The flavor is strange. There is a malty sweetness, backed up with a fresh fruit character and then a strange hoppiness. The hops add a nice complexity to it. The mouth feel is thin, light, but has a decent carbonation. The aftertaste is hoppy and lingeringly strange ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The Bull in a China Shop pours a very cloudy dark bronze red with a beige head that lasts a long while. The aroma is cereal, grape and bread. The flavor is a nicely balanced fresh bread, grape and pine. Overall this is a very nice brew.

Sort of a dirty amber look. This beer was certainly different..odd (or eccentric perhaps??) Sweet. Candy-like. Caramel. Some overripe citrus. Lots of alcohol. Sticky. I have a high booze tolerance, but this is just Very Boozy. It was a very unique beer however.

4oz draft at Churchkey for meet the brewer event. Poured a hazy orange color with a white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, caramel notes, some light booze, but not overpowering. Plenty of sweet malts, caramel, pine, pretty enjoyable.

Tasting notes of caramel, citrus, pine, light booze. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-light carbonation, light syrupy mouthfeel.
