Had this both on draft and in a bottle. Appearance is clearish brownish-red with a small tan head. Malty cherries in the nose- but nothing that really stands out saying "drink me." Flavor is kinda the same way... bittersweet cherry, a bit of maltiness- but nothing about it stands out.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Rockinout (966) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JUL 16, 2005
Amber red color, tart and sour cherries in the nose and taste, although on the mild side. Finishes sour and dry.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 13, 2007
this beer is a cheerfully hazy red color. Fairly effervescent at first, it is topped by a perfect cap of creamy foam. Good head retention, a bit of residul lacing. Moderate cherry in the aroma, both tart and sweetish.
Initially, the beer was sweetly fruity, but this was followed in short order by a very nice tart nankin cherry flavor. Crisp and tangy with just a hint of residual honey sweetness. Medium body, good carbonation, very refreshing.

from the bottle. poured a reddish brown, with a off white head that didn’t hang around for very long. aroma, tart cherries, malt, and metallic. flavor get mostly tart cherries but a little bit of sweetness creeps in there and some malts. it does have a clean finish.

Red/brown with a small white head. Cherry nose with malt and some grassy hop notes. Farily dry, very nice flavor, dominated by tart cherries with a touch of bready malt, slight sugary sweetness, and a balance of dry bitterness.

On tap @ Bells tasting Orange-red pour with an off white head. Aroma of fresh cherry and dry toasted malt. Flavors of tart cherry, toasted malt, a bit of yeast as well. Light body, tart/malty with a tart/earthy finish. Pretty good really.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ogglethorp (916) - Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2007
Tap. Pours a hazy red-ruby color with quickly disappearing off white head. Aroma is tart cherries, light malts. Flavor is cherries, pale malts, sorta acidic/metallic on first sip, but seem to mellow as it warms. Palate is medium bodied, medium to hig on carbonation, tart finish. Respectable.
3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hellomynameis (868) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - FEB 3, 2006
Very red coloured with some hints of brown. Fine thin head that dissapeared nearly after I finsihed pouring, leaving behind a almost complete layer of lace and a immesurably thicker ring. I can’t really smell a whole lot from this one, only thin hints of cherry. The initial sip is almost overwhelmingly tart but smoothes out to a sweet cherry finish. As I get farther into my glass, the almost fruit juice flavours come out, transitioning to tart cherries and going down like a fine wine. At first, I was glad that I had only bought one bottle, but now I almost feel as though I should have got more. It’s quite refreshing, with a good flavour profile, and doesn’t attempt to overwhelm.

12oz @ Kalamazoo brewery: Dark red, color, clearish/cloudy, almost no head (bartender may wanted to give me more beer for my $), white, lasting. Sweet cherry aroma, but not much. Cherry taste, nutty, fresh, not too tart, some fizz Not much flavor. A little dissapointed.
2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Dough77 (820) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 4, 2005
Pours a weak watered down looking amber. Hmmm nose is of wonderous sour cherry, some vinegar, and malt, seems solid, but boy was it not. Flavor is of wild sour cherry but they seem like theyve gone bad, terribly bad. Weird beer, very weird. Not like I expected.
