| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a appetizing dark brown with reddish hints, with a thick beige head. The aroma is full of sweet coffee and chocolates. The taste was initially quite tart, some cherries and funk, followed by a rich and smooth chocolate, coffee and a dry malt finish. A great balance. A weird brew for sure, kinda like chocolate covered cherries, but more sourness. Very enjoyable. afireinside96 (826), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 22, 2008 12oz bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Sweet stout? I think I would call this one a sour stout. No real cherry flavor but there is a lot of tartness from them. Tastes of some chocolate and coffee. Finishes with a long tartness that gets a bit unpleasant toward the end of the glass. Definitely not the best from Bells. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Good stout. Nice balance of cherry, but not overpowering. Tart and smooth. Sampled at the St. Pete Florida Craft Beer Fest. Marsiblursi (1634), Göteborg, Sweden
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2008 (Bottle) Pours black with a light brown head. The aroma is of light tart sherries with a backdrop of light to medium roasted and light caramelly malt tones. Some chocolate is also present. Undertones of wet tobacco and liquorice. The flavour is light to medium tart and sourish with tones of unripe cherries alongside a late coming dry roastiness of chocolate to mild tar. The mouthfeel is soft but tart and dry at the same time. Light to medium carbonated. Medium bodied. I am not a fan of sour stouts. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Hard to pull much more out of it aroma wise no matter how long I sniff at it. The body is full black and holds a rapidly diminishing mocha head. Tart chocolate fore followed by espresso and dark fruit. The flavor lingers with cherry skin and sweet, creamy milk chocolate. Very still with low carbonation and that aftertaste of tart/chocolate is nice.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 16, 2008 Bottle from Foodery, Philly. Black cherry soda color with small dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate cherry and roastiness seems coherent. But the tartness/sourness of the taste doesn’t fit the choclate/roasty supporting cast. Innovative. Thick and slightly medicinal after warming. Odd taste is left on the tongue. 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 13, 2008 12 oz. bottle into sniffer. Jet black pour with a minimal mocha brown head. Aroma is strange - reminds me of a Sam Smith with its dusty notes. I can sort of detect cherries on the aroma, but funky sour cherries. Lots of molasses, smoke, and bitter chocolate too. Flavor is funky as hell: smoked meat, no cherries, almost sour ale finish. Starts off gross but gets more tolerable. weird stuff though. Nice and rich on palate, pretty coating. Overall: strange. Worth tasting just to experience the weirdness of it.
