buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Jan 3, 2007 Updated: Dec 20, 2007Pours a dense murky brown with small tan head. Not a hint of cherries in the aroma. Just a nice roasted malt scent. Flavor only had a tad of cherry in it. Lots of malts and touches of chocolate and coffee. A little tart, a little sweet. Pretty darn good. TheHairyDrum (2), USA does not count Jan 3, 2007 Bottle straight from brewery: Deep black in color with a medium tan head that dissapears quickly after pouring. Mellow aroma of coffee/chocolate with very small hint of cherry. Flavor is quite sweet, with the cherry tartness nearly overwhelming. Amazingly refreshing, especially for a stout. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jan 2, 2007 Bottle: Deep muddy borwn with a thin but firm light brown head. Only a light cocoa aroma. Down the gullet it goes ... more of that cocoa, with the advertised cherry essence, kind of like chocolate-covered pie cherries. Nice body. Nice prep for my afternoon holiday nap. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA Dec 31, 2006 Kinda syrupy, eh. Glad this was a sample generously given me by a stellar bartendress. Holdwine (905), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Dec 28, 2006 A thick stout that is refeshing? The sweet finish is almost too sweet with cherries. Quite a motor oil pour and a decent mild stout backing a very chocolatey-cherry-fruity mix. It is a mouthfull. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Dec 28, 2006 Bells delivers a very well balanced, mild stout. Similar to Bells other stouts, Cherry Stout pours heavy and black with a reddish brown head. The aroma is rather mellow; with chocolate, cherry, and coffee. In the mouth it tastes sweet with hints of cherries and chocolate. There is little to no alcohol taste. The finish is also sweet. The classic Bells stout taste is subdued in this offering. Overall, Cherry Stout is tame. A little too sweet for my tastes, which is why I gave flavor a lower rating. It is very smooth and easy on the palate. mephisto (1144), Taiwan Dec 25, 2006 black with brown head that quickly disappears, the aroma is nutty with a slight hint of cherry. acidic and rich, the brew has a nutty finish. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Dec 22, 2006 Bottle from TPaliga; Nose of chocolate covered cherries and a cup of coffee; Opaque black with a medium reddish tan head; chocolate flavor with some cherry. Is this anything like say a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, I think not! Should be some kind of stout!
