This one was a little thin for a stout. Actually doesnt even seem like a stout. Flavor is big on the artificial cherry flavors.

12oz bottle pours a black color with a bit of head. Tart cherry prominent, with a mild stout in the back ground. Needs a little time to breathe.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Btl 10/08/13 pours an opaque dark dirty motor oil brown color. Huge, thick, dark tan head that vanishes quickly leaving spots of lace on glass. Smells of chocolate, toffee, caramel, toasty grain,a hint of bitter coffee, with some fruity aromas. Tastes of bittersweet chocolate, sour cherries, toffee, and roasted grains. Medium body, lively carbonation, soft yet viscous mouthfeel, smooth tart finish. Ok I did not like this beer at first. As it warmed up and I consumed more it grew on me. This really is a good stout. I wish I had a six pack. I also would have liked to try it fresh. If they used sweet cherries( Washington/Montana) I bet this would be phenomenal!

Very dark and opaque pour, thin dark tan head with a reddish tinge. Light aroma of coffee, chocolate, and fruit. Aggressively sour taste, light but quite distinct cherry-pruney flavor which is impressively dry. Unsweetened chocolate with faint coffee. Cherry seems natural and particularly unsweetened. Interesting and very unique, I very much enjoyed this beer.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20
Probably the worst idea of a beer bells has had. The smell was good but the bitter cherry did not pair well. Pretty dry for a fruit stout.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small brown head, dissipates fairly slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is roasty, tobacco, light cherries. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, light bitter. Medium body, light acidity. Very subdued cherry. Meh

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Engine 15 brewery bar, Jacksonville. Pours deep dark brown/black with a slightly off white head. Nice choc cherry aroma. Lots of fresh cherry that offer a nice sour edge then choc and coffee - does what it should do. Tasty.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Looked like a stout that I would really enjoy. Cherries are overdone and add to much tartness for my taste. A well-crafted beer that just didn’t pull through for me.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has malt, chocolate and maybe some cherry extract in the mix.
Appearance- The beer is brown with a moderate tan head.
Taste- I can taste the cherry, chocolate and malt, it has a nice flavor.
Palate- This is a medium bodied, medium carbonated brew. It has a slightly oily texture to it.
Overall- This is a pretty good beer, but hey, it comes from "Bell’s" so the expectations are always high.
