grandet (306), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 29, 2007 What a nice beer to sit down on a cool fall night and enjoy. Very dark and roasty pour, with a smell of coffee and cherrys. Taste of dark cholocate and a cherry finish. Very good all around, warms the mind and body
BeanDip (106), Florida, USA Aug 17, 2008 I love big, bold, dark and fruity beers and this one fits the bill. The cherry compliments the sour of the stout in a nice way. Adding complexity and a little surprise. The cherry thins out the texture just enough. I like the mild tartness along with the typical malty, chocolate, roasty notes of the stout. Dances on the tongue a bit. Very nice. mullet2007 (115), Newfoundland, Canada Aug 15, 2008 Bottle thanks to beerbill! Pours nearly completely black, with hints of brown and a thin brown head with a slight reddish hue. Nose is faint cherries and some other dark fruits, not much else. Flavour is bitter dark malts, with hints of sweet cherry juice. Carbonation is pretty low, it drinks almost more like juice than beer, but it is slightly syrupy and thick. NomDeBeer (129), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2008 Very bad sour cherry taste that I can’t stand. Not paticularly drinkable or enjoyable. Drain pour. Bigmmartin (185), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Dark black with red hues and a beige head. Aroma is tame, with a little sweet malt and fruitiness. Taste is of roasted malt with a tart sour cherry addition to it. Not the greatest, but not bad. zappafan99 (283), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Aug 9, 2008 Taste: 8/8 Bottle(8219) Looks: Opaque black, handful of tan bubbles. Aroma: Cherry, roasted/toasted malt, mocha, wine sour. Taste: "Hi my names Cherry./You sure are." Very Cherry, tart, malt roast. Almost like burnt toast soaked in cherry juice. Not a fan. Excuse me why I go pour this out.
