COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique ale begins its life as a powerful and richly sweet stout to which Michigan tart cherries are added. The resulting black brew is complex, sweet and tart with a distinct cherry finish. It will improve with cellaring. Available September - May

The first thing I noted was the strong aroma. Although a strong aroma it was very pleasing. It has a sweet, fruity flavor that is mostly cherry.

Looked like a stout that I would really enjoy. Cherries are overdone and add to much tartness for my taste. A well-crafted beer that just didnít pull through for me.

Opaque pour zero carb zero lacing molasses thick Voltimort!! Coarse bitterness, brandy cherries in there? Dark, approach is serious,

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has malt, chocolate and maybe some cherry extract in the mix. Appearance- The beer is brown with a moderate tan head. Taste- I can taste the cherry, chocolate and malt, it has a nice flavor. Palate- This is a medium bodied, medium carbonated brew. It has a slightly oily texture to it. Overall- This is a pretty good beer, but hey, it comes from "Bellís" so the expectations are always high.

Dark pour with some tan head. Cherry, sweet and roasted malt aromas. Flavors are dark Cherry, I would say a touch too thin to call it a stout.

Pours black. Nose is coffee, roasted malts. Taste is where the cherry comes out, a lot of fresh tart cherrys, sweet dark malts, chocolate. Kinda syrupy. Very good.

Jet black pour usual minimal stout head. Aroma burnt dark roast sour cherry perhaps. Smooth as silk no real coffee or stout bitterness. The cherry hits you as a cherry liquor mid sip and warms you than gone. Strange interesting brew. Did like the java better. Nice though

12oz bottle picked up at Jís in Owensboro, KY. Poured into a stemmed tulip. Nice dark brown/black color with a thin tan head. Aroma of malts, coffee and slight cherry. Thin on the palate. Taste of chocolate, coffee and malts with a nice amount of bitterness. Clean and tart finish. Almost crisp.

Pours from tap a dark brown, slightly murky, and had a medium tan bubbly head. Aroma of chocolate, cherry, and coffee. Taste had medium sweetness mixed well with a medium to heavy bitter. Body was medium with a thin texture and a sweet/bitter mixed finish. I thought this was a pretty good stout.

Bottle to glass. Pours a thin deep brown to black color with a light brown head. Aroma is burnt roasted malts, touch of cherry juice sweetness. Flavor brings out much more the cherry character, slightly tangy and tart. A decent beer, but no real desire to have it again. Would love to try the BA version though!
