3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It pours light brown with a pale tan head. I smell bread and malt. The taste is big on malt and spice, but very light on hops. This is a bit watery compared to other Christmas/Winter ales. The spices do provide a bit of a bite. Not a bad Ale.. Just not great either.

Draft. Copper witha white head. Not much going on here. Grain and light malt all around. Not very Christmasy.

On tap at Mad Mex, pours an amber. Paired well with wings and was pretty refreshing but was weak overall; honestly not sure why this is a Christmas ale. Smell is weak in hops. Taste isnít too bitter at all and brings a ton of carbonation to the table. After taste is almost none. Little to no lacing down glass.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours amber with a white head. Taste malty, sweet, fruity. I thought this was good. I could drink this again.

Hands down worst beer Iíve had from Bells. Pours amber. Scent is grainy and a bit synthetic. Bland mildly sweet flavor. Wondering if something is wrong with the 2013 edition of this beer. Bottle - Ale Yeah! - Decatur, GA

First Christmas ale. Bottle. Two to three finger snow capped head. Cloudy honey Amber color. Sweet barley aroma obviously malt heavy. Bitter, nut, malt and sweet. Medium body. This would be great on a cold December day. Too bad Iím in Florida.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle. Some malty hay notes and grassy hops and a bit of a yeasty smell in the aroma. Itís an amber color with a very fluffy, lingering off-white head. Itís a malty-sweet flavor akin to a white peach or a mango, with only enough grassy hop flavor to balance. This is not your typical, spiced-up Christmas Ale. Itís very subtle and would probably be just as appropriate in June as it is in December. I guess Iím slightly disappointed that itís not a bit more "Christmas-y", but itís plenty tasty in itís own right.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a nice clear, deep copper, with a thin white head. Sweet, bready aroma. Taste is rye bread with grassiness on the back end. A little lacking on the mid-palate.

Bottle pour to shaker. Dark, orange/amber color. Taste not characteristic of scotch ale; itís like it doesnít fit neatly into a style. Bit of fruitiness; malt. Just so-so.
