Ruby body with floaties and thick, white head that is diminishing. The aroma is berries and caramel. The flavor is sweet ripe berries, caramel and toffee. Tart finish, chewy texture.

12 oz bottle via trade w/ ughsmash. Poured a slightly cloudy ruby under a thin off-white head. Very malty nose as expected, lots of toffee and caramel. Some fruity esters and slightly alcoholic as well. Big malty taste with sufficient bitterness to cut thru the cloying sweetness. Nice warming finish. Full bodied and sticky with soft carbonation. Overall a wonderful Dopple with great depth of flavor and mouthfeel. The more this warmed from cellar to room temp the more I enjoyed it, so be careful not to chill this one down too far.

Bottle. A nice ruby color with a short tan head. Rather sweet with little hop character.

Bottle from Ughsmash. Pours red and somewhat clear, but had a ton of microscopic little floaties in there. Aroma of dark, fleshy fruits (cherry, etc), some toffee, some rum, some bubblegum and nuts. Mmmm, nuts and gum. The first mouthfeel impression is rather metallic. Once you get past that, the flavor becomes very doppel-like, nutty, buttery, syrupy. At the same time, it’s a little undoppel-like, vinous, dry and a little hoppy. The final sip is just like a rumball, so I had to bump it up a point. Finishes sweet and dry. Rather good. Thanks, Jason!

Thanks to Lou18 for this beer.

Poured a dull ruby with a small off-white head. Aroma of vinous grapes with a dry hop bitterness, somewhat restrained. Taste is sweet with grapes, molasses... syrupy and very drinkable. Smooth and good. I enjoyed this one.

Appears a dark brown with a red hue and a 1 finger tan cap. Smells richly of maple, vanilla, chocolate, heavy caramel, roasted nuts, cooked apples, and heavy dark fruit esters. This one will give you a nose bleed if you sniff it too much. Taste is of the same warm and rich aromas. Mouthfeel is sweet to the point of lip smacking. Very chewy, sweet, and slightly tart.

Not bad. Very malty in every way, with toffee and caramel components in aroma and flavor. Needs a tiny bit more hop for better balance, to tone down almost cloying sweetness. See Celebrator, bock King.

Rich aroma of cream, bright fruit (apricot & cherry), very strong caramel, toffee, and a hint of rum. Deep burnt sienna caramel color, topped with a thin line of off-whtie head. Standard dopple at first, with foaming sensation, then blossoming into super creamy, rich brown sugar, and some light alcohol notes. Palate is sweet, clinging, and chewy.
