Caramel, boozy, & overall a solid offering! Pours dark copper w/out much of a head or lacing. The aroma is sweet caramel goodness! The taste is caramel, malt, a touch of hops, & alcohol. The mouthfeel is quite nice & the 8% isn’t overbearing. Really nice beer!

Bottle into snifter glass, clear deep ruby-amber color with tan head. Aroma notes of roasted malt, caramel, bread, dark fruitiness and tad spice. Taste adds honey, berries, toast, light nuttiness and faint earthy bitterness. Heavy-medium body, low-moderate carbonation, sticky, creamy with fruity roast finish. Nice malt flavors and creamy palate.

Dark amber color with tan head. Aroma has sweet caramel malt and brown sugar with a hint of dried fruits. Taste starts sweet and malty, some dark fruits in the middle but finishes with a bittersweet burnt sugar note. Quite light body with medium to high effervescence. Aftertaste is on the bitter side, maybe more than a traditional doppelbock, but overall it’s a well made example.
