Bottle pours dark amber with little to no carbonation and small off-white head. Nose of yeasty bread and sweet malt. Flavor is sweet with caramel, toffee and molasses with touches of yeast and bread. Easy to drink overall, but not a lot of depth or carbonation, ok but not great.

Nice. Clear brown pour with light reddish tint and thin tan head. Aroma is primarily caramel and a little paper. Taste is sweet caramel and molasses with a nice little (very little) hop bite at the end. Enjoyable.try it with a creamy brie.

From a bottle. A little on the sweet side for my taste, but much keeping it refreshing, but tasty.

From bottle. Pours a reddish brown with medium head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel. Taste is caramel, molasses, nicely sweet without much noticeable hops. Smooth medium mouthfeel.

A solid Dopplebock that rivals the Duck Rabbit version. A very tasty beer that gets better with the finish.

Might be an old bottle. Pours muddy brown with medium sized tan head. Aromas of wheat and some raisin/fig though nothing stands out too much. Taste is medium bodied, full flavored bock with a good roasty malt going on. Did not pick up on the molasses (as noted), but caramel notes come through.

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malts, fruit and toffee. Flavor was quite sweet with molasses, toffee, sweet caramel, dark fruit, and some brown sugar.

Caramel. Malty. Looks light brown. Little tan head Taste is sort of.... Boozy malty caramel.a little light Palate is light. Maybe medium. Decently smooth. Overall sort of meh. It’s not bad but nothing really stands out. Just malty. And a little boozy.

Bottle from Sean - thanks! Clear amber pour with a tan head. Raisin spiced dough and sweet malt in the aroma. Clean and balanced dough and spots of sugar with molasses and softer malt in the taste. Slight hop bitterness in the finish. Clean, lightly coating mouth feel. Really great take on the style.

On tap at the Eccentric Café. The pour is a clear amberish ruby with no head to be found. The aroma is big on the malt and caramel. It's rather bland beyond that. I'm not really getting the molasses or any other good scents. The flavor is just as disappointing. The sweetness of the caramel comes through but there isn't the defining sweet maltiness there in a good dopplebock. The mouth feel is thin and watery, with minimal carbonation and a decently lingering aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
