I really enjoyed this Bell's offering. Reddish brown in color - off white head. Hugely fruity. Pears. Juicy fruit gum. Toasted marhsmallows. Lots of doughy, oaty, malt characteristics. Nicely sweet.

Reddish copper beer that rolls downwards in sheets upon pour before settling with a small bubbly light brown head. Nose is floral and a little sweet, but overall the aroma is not particularly strong. Taste has a bracing malty sweetness up front that develops into a light bitterness with undertones of stewed prunes, candied almonds, and caramel. It gets even better with repeated drinking. It’s sweet, but well balanced with hops, so it does not become cloying at all. Really delicious.

thx to umich03jm for the bottle! Caramel, toffee, and cola aroma - maybe slight alcohol; but mostly anything sweet. and the taste follows.. brown sugar, toffee, caramel in taste - the last few doppelbocks I have had are just too sweet; will re-try the great celebrator to see if it is me...

Classic dopplebock, rich copper pour with a white head. Big malt aromas with notes of brown sugar and caramel. Robust flavor and easy to drink. A very respectable offering.

Bottle from Philly’s. Serious decent Doppel. Nice notes of carmel and roasted malts, and molasses. Definitely a full body and nice mild spice finish. I enjoyed it!

I saw this at a liquor store once and I thought I needed to get it because I’ve never seen it before, but we went to the store for something else do I didn’t get it. Since then, I’ve been regretting not getting it and have been trying to go back to that store, but the problem is that it’s far away. Then I find myself at bells brewery and they have it on tap so I have to get it. It is a very nice dark amber red color. It smells and tastes like caramel malts. That’s all I really tastes and it’s a pretty good beer. I’m not sure if is buy a six pack but I could see myself getting this at a bar again.

Had on tap at Bells Eccentric Café. Pours an amber brown color with no real head. Aroma is similar to that of a brown ale malts mostly maybe a hint of brown sugar. Flavor is sweet malts and sweet sugar mostly with a hint of maybe caramel either A LOT of booziness. This tastes like the 8% it is. Overall it is a great beer not my favorite but it holds its own against a lot of other brewers best.

From a 12 oz bottle shared in Avon NC. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin off white head. Caramel aroma with a hint of floral hops. Flavors of toffee and caramel with a smooth, slightly bitter finish.
