Bells Dan and Larrys Excellent Ale

on tap at the eccentric cafe, dark brown / black body with a thin white head, roasty slightly alcoholic aroma, rich and roasty chocolate flavor, sweet and smooth, slight alcohol in the finish but over all is well masked, creamy mouthfeel, the flavor seems to indulge every taste bud on the palate, the stout like characteristics in the flavor lead me to believe that this should be a new category, ie Michigan Strong Ale.
