Bells Dark Wheat

tap at eccentric....don’t have too much to say about this one outside of the fact that it was overy sweet.....appearance: dark caramel brown with no evidence of any head....aroma: way too sweet and cloying even in the nose....taste: highly sweet and carbonated and lacked much complexity.

On tap at Eccentric Cafe. Body is dark brown and fairly opaque. Head is minimal, but that may have more to do with the pour than anything else. Aromas are minimal, at best, but flavor is full and sweet. Chocolate and roasted malt flavors dominate, but there is a sweetness that turned a couple of my buddies off after about half a glass (lightweights). I rather liked the mix of flavors, in spite of the fact that it wasn’t very complex.

On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Dark, murky brown body, thin buff head. Chocolaty, rather dry body with subtle yeast characteristics. Roasty and rather dry, with little in the way of wheat tanginess. I would have preferred a stronger yeast component. A bit simplistic.
