Bottle. Poured a jet black with a two finger tan head. Aroma was coffee, lots of alcohol, and raisin. Flavor was thick and creamy very rich. Medium body. Very rough in the finish, alcohol all the way. It was very good though.

bottle, fresh. Pours a mean, thick, oily black. Fair size dark coffee brown head foams up and sticks around well, plenty of lace. Big heavy roasted grain aromas, dark bitter espresso, and some lactic sour notes. Flavors of burnt licorice, bakers cocoa, unsweetened coffee, some light caramel and raisin sweetness in the background. Heavy and sharp spicy floral hop bite creates some balance. Booze is hardly apparent despite the 10.5%. Palate is thick and chewy, full flavored, with a decently clean finish. Superb Imp. Stout that will likely onl improve with age.

12oz - Normally I wouldn’t taste beer from a Krispy Kreme cup in the Men’s room at the Orlando airport, but I’ll be damned if I’d let TSA get their hands on this one. Poured and clinged like two stroke oil. Roasted marshmallows and a ton of alcohol on the palate. Much love here.

bottle...jet black pour ,small tight beige head .good lacing. aroma of molasses ,alcohol and licorice. dark bitter chocolate and coffee dominate the flavor but it has underlying flavors of caramel , oak and licorice . its salty and also has a peppery spicyness .finish is extremely bitter and lasting. alot going on in this one.low carbonation, full bodied, smooth for 10.5 and slick .I cant imagine how good this would be after a year or two when it rounds out . Thanks Candy !

One of those beers I’ve just never rated for some reason....I guess it’s about time. Full of chocolatey roasted malts. Some coffee...a little soy...the usual flavor suspects. This bottle was a couple of years old I believe, but the bitterness is still fairly assertive. Smooth as can be for a 10.5% stout. This is just a beautifully made beer that’s full of flavor. We enjoyed some orange slices and split some dark chocolate along with our bottle, which made for a fine dessert. If you’re looking for a perfect dessert stout that is full of flavor, yet well-rounded, this is it.

Bottled. (Cracked Kettle) Pours wonderful dark brown with a fairly big-sized, brown head that also leaves some lacing. A nice aroma of wonderful oaky woodiness and vanilla, bitter dark chocolate, roasted coffee, some salty liquorice and molasses. This certainly is no sweet Imperial Stout, and for a change, I like that. Slightly tangy on the palate. Hopped flavor is salty. It has coffee (pretty dark roast, almost espresso), dark chocolate, peppery spiciness and a hint of sweet caramel. What comes next, totally blows my mouth. A massive bitterness, like you’d have a 100% cocoa chocolate and the darkest espresso in your mouth at the same time. Wonderfully, bitterly hopped taste lingers and lasts. Though this beer isn’t phenomenal (there’s just something that is missing that would make this a real classic), it certainly is really, really great.

Pours a beautiful brown, lacing head with an almost black body. Smells of molasses, toast, and bitter chocolate. Tastes like toast, chocolate note, and bitter. Finish is bitter, sticky, molasses, and espresso.
