Wowza. This is amazing stuff. Stop reading this and go aquire a large quantity of this beer. Pours black with a beautiful brown head. And the aroma is something incredible. Coffee, and chocolate and nuts and every other good thing i can think of other than boobs. Then you taste it amd its so smoothe and complex. Bravo Bells!

I am going to start off with saying that I spent 18 dollars on a six pack of this, and I believe it is well worth it! This stuff is incredible. Literally comes out of the bottle like syrup, but is just balanced perfectly. Almost no head, and just coffee and chocolate galore. I LOVE BELL’S BEER!!

Bottle at Boston’s Bistro & Pub in Dayton. A hardcore stout. Black in color. Coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt for the nose and tongue to enjoy. The flavor contains a slightly bitter finish. The palate is just amazing, thick and syrupy. Top of the line stout.

second entry on ratebeer, 2000th rating "on paper". Black, like syrup, with a dark brown and good head. Smell of coffee and chocolate, with a bit of treacle and melassis. Bitter black coffee and black chocolate in the taste, with an edge of herbs and liquorice (like coughing-sirup). Bitter aftertaste and softly burning alcohol. A great way to celebrate my 2000th rating and my girlfriend’s birthday. Thanks to Miketd (for the beer, not the grilfriend).

Used motor oil pour. Is it a sout barley wine? Nice coffee/chocolate malt nose and taste. Maybe too high on the % (only negative I can come up with). Well balanced. Thick and rich and chocolit.... Wow.

Dark brown head that fully diminishes. Color is black. Aroma - big strong coffee, dark chocolate and roasted/toasted. A hint of smoke, as well. This is one of the fullest bodied beers I’ve ever had. Really outstanding - got better an it warned to room temperature.

Bottle. Pours inky black with a bubbly and swirly brown head. Coffee, chocolate, and a spicy acidity dominate the nose. Taste is astounding. A smooth, coating mouthfeel brings lots of chocolate and coffee with undertones of a meaty-smoky teriyaki. Lingers with a delicious aftertaste of roasty bitterness and just a touch of alcohol.
