12 oz. bottle. Thanks drewbeerme! Pours a very dark brown to black with little head. Aroma is brown sugars with a touch of raisin and chocolate. The flavor starts a malty sweet and finishes with a bitter coffee note. Very good!

A- Pours a deep black with a small dark brown head which fades quickly. S- Smell is sweet, notes of caramel, toffee and coffee. T- Taste is deep coffee, lingering sweet caramel, dark fruits, very intense with some alcohol warming at the end. Doesn’t sit well on my palate, just not the kind of RIS I enjoy. M- Thick as motor oil with decent carbonation. D- I choked this one down. I could see how other people would think this one is good because of its complexity but I just could not get myself to like it.

Bottle, many thanks to Acknud. This is an enormous beer on the nose and palate. Dark dark brown, super dark brown head. Thick and rich and delicious. Sweet and powerful...truly a wonderful beer. Flavor is full of chocolate, molasses, raisins, prunes, some light roast and is thick and rich!!

from a 12 oz bottle. pours a dense black with a thick brown head. aroma of dark malt, alcohol and malt blend perfectly. flavor is a completely mouthfilling and complex experience. I believe that other styles typically can bring more to the great beer table, but this one delivers like no other. about as perfect an imperial stout as there is... anywhere

This is one of the better stouts that I have had in a while. The beer is black with little foam. The taste is smooth with a hint of sweetness to the palate. I really like this beer! perhaps the 10.5% alcohol content has something to do with that!!!

Rich, threatening Imperial aroma - alcohol, chocolate, patent malt, fruit. Pours like 10W-30 that’s been run too hot for too long. Respectable tan head, boozy legs on the side of the glass, average clipart label. An initial alcohol surge, like with a liqueur, fading off to a chickory nuttiness. Coffee finish, medium heavy body. Coffee/hop bitterness hangs around for a long time. Very good, pretty distinctive. I’d have gone a slightly different direction, but on the whole very enjoyable. Market Square Liquors.

Extremely dark and thick pour, syrupy appearance. Dark reddish brown head that lingers as a thin layer, with good lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, with molasses, some very Bells-like hoppiness, chocolate, some fruitiness/sourness, and a hint of alcohol. Very creamy, oily mouthfeel. Flavor starts sweet and malty, with chocolate and coffee. Lightly sour dried fruit as well. Ends with some crisp hoppy bitterness. Dry on the finish, with a slight taste of alcohol. Very full-bodied and complex, but well balanced. Excellent beer, good to savor while contemplating the world. Having tried this a second time, I’m bumping it up a bit - just a touch better to my taste than Speedway Stout.

Pours an extremely dark fudge chocolate brown with a small dark brown head. Amazing aroma of chocolate, very light roasted coffee, and some dark caramel fruits like plums or figs. Extremely creamy texture. Pure delicious malty sweetness right away, almost cherry chocolate like. Swallows like creamy molasses, and the finish hits with a strong vinous taste that I can’t wait to experience mellowed with age. Leaves a lasting sweetness that is really amazing. Glad I have two more of these!!
