mpack (2), USA does not count Jan 21, 2008 Had this from the bottle today. Light aroma but strong color and good head. Flavor was good - but did not linger on the palate long enough. Ligher on the tounge than you’d expect. Overall a good drinkable beer that most would enjoy. masonjer (503), Holt, Michigan, USA Dec 9, 2007 Had this on draft at bells eccentric day. Poured a dark brown color. Aroma was fairly subdued, not much going on. Taste was sort of the same way, nice malts, bitey hops. This beer was ok, but nothing great. kseecs16 (617), Westmont, Illinois, USA Nov 22, 2007 Draught at the Eccentric Cafe. Poured dark amber with very nice lacing and a thin off-white head. Aroma was not as outstanding as I expected, it was pretty cold though. Fresh hops were noticeable. Dry resinous hoppy flavor. Very balanced, moutfeel is a bit light with a slight lingering bitterness. pantanap (899), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 26, 2007 Updated: Dec 9, 2007draft at eccentric on 10/13....apperance: looked pretty similar to the bell’s scotch ale. medium reddish brown with a small off white head....aroma: nicely lightly citrus hopped that meshed well with the amount of caramel and toffee malt.....taste: maintained a very well balance between the hop and malt. one not overpowering the other. the subdued yet poignant pine gives way to the creamy biscuity malt......def wish this one was around more. this would be my go to ipa without a doubt. dutzk (1), Savage, Minnesota, USA does not count Nov 15, 2006 Strong finish, nice color and slighlty different hoppy flavor than Oregon IPAs. I am partial to my homestate Summit Pale Ale and IPA, but Bell’s comes thorugh when I want something slightly different.
