A remarkably drinkable Double IPA that pays tribute to one of Mother Natureís finest creations, as several hop varietals combine for massive aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and pine. A mild caramel malt character and dry finish provide balance.

Draft. Nose is piney with light citrus. Honey malt and light caramel. Hazy deep yellow to orange with a small white head. Taste is initially orange pith bitter that quickly faded to a marmalade jam hop flavor with light residual sugar. No significant alcohol presence. Nice but seemingly under hopped for a DIPA. Likd they just used a little more hops than two hearted.

12 oz pour picked up in St Pete. Copper orange pour with a cream foam head. Fruity aroma, mostly oranges. Good hop content. Very cool finish. Unique for an imperial IPA as a whole. Love the citrus notes. Smooth finish. Late bitter hop reminder. Bells knows how to make a good beer. Well worth the pocket change this bottle rang me up.

Bottle into snifter glass, hazy orange-amber color with light tan head. Aroma notes of orange tropical citrus, pine, grapefruit and caramel malt sweetness. Taste adds almost woody resin, toast, more tropical fruitiness (mango, melon), tea and herbal spice bitterness. Medium-heavy body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, dry with fruity/pine bitter finish. Flavor heavy, yet simple and well executed, imperial IPA.

Draft at Water Street Grill. Musty orange amber colored, standard topped. Rich aroma of caramel and wet pine. Drinks with a bit of viscosity, but very fruity and easy to drink for a big beer. Bells gets a "ding dong!" for this one. (#6219, 6/25/2016)

Bottle. Orange, citrus, light grapefruit, guava flavors. Citrus, orange, hoppy, bitter flavors. For an 8% abv, you donít get any alcohol, and itís very easy drinking. Drinks like a 5-6% beer.

12 oz. bottled 05/06/2016. Lightly hazy burnt orange body with a large crunchy foam slowly settling to a lasting small sponge. Big nose of sticky resin, toast with honey, and orange-grapefruit. Flavor of toffee, resin, grapefruit, mango and toasted grain. Medium body is smooth with low-medium carbonation and a very drinkable balance.

12oz bottle. 5/12/16 bottle date. Appearance: Deep golden, almost brown, with a slight cloudiness, with a light off white foam head. Aroma: Caramel malt and a grassy, resinous hop aroma. Fairly restrained for a DIPA. Taste: Moderate to high caramel malt sweetness, with hop notes of resin, grass, and light orange. Perceived bitterness is moderate due to the strong malt base. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with low carbonation and no noticeable alcohol warmth. Finish: Fairly dry, with a sharp grassy hop bitterness. Overall: Status quo DIPA, nothing stands out here. High caramel maltiness balances out the bitterness and subdues the perceived bitterness. I donít pick up any tropical fruit aroma thatís called out on the label.

Bottle. It pours an orange color with a frothy off white head. The aroma has mango, peach, a little grapefruit and flowers. The flavor is good with peach, mango and spicy hops. Bready and lightly caramel maltiness. It has a smooth, velvety body. Medium to strong spicy/floral hop bitterness. Nice.
