Draft at Cappy’s pour dark gold with thin white head. Nose tropical fruit, resin, sweet malt, and some more light fruit. Taste nice bitter up front, then banana, tropical fruit, and dank hop. Balanced sweet mid palate. Pleasing bitter finish. Yummy hops.

Tap at Tipsy Cow madison, wi. Deep amber color. Aroma of grass hops and toffee upfront with some pine. Taste is grassy, piney, and lightly fruity hops with stronger toffee and caramel malts than your typical imperial ipa. The use of the German hops definitely sets this apart from other American iipas along with the larger malt presence. Medium body, well balanced, alcohol sneaks up on you.

I like ipa- this isn't my favorite though. I'd drink it if someone gave it to me, but probably wouldn't pay for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap, poured into a snifter. The aroma is a sweet and syrupy toffee and caramel blend with secondary pine notes and a mild, sweet grapefruit underneath. It pours a deep, rich, and oily amber hue with a slightly off-white dense foam head that leaves a moderate retention and okay lace. The taste is a medium high bitter and medium supporting sweet. The texture is smooth with creamy foam and a medium full body. The profile on the palate is grainy with a strong roasted note that blends nicely with toffee and sweet grapefruit. The finish is crisp with clean pine and a mellow burnt character that quickly fades and turns to mild grapefruit membrane. The aftertaste is chalky with resin and pine dryness and a light bitter citrus that’s clean, lightly astringent, and fresh.

Aroma is tropical fruit, pine, pretty good. Appearance is a touch dark, amber with an off white head. Taste is floral, sweet tropical fruit and pine. Mouthfeel is great, nice carbonation with a great crispness. Overall, I’m impressed.

Absolutely delicious. In a world saturated with mediocre ipas bells blows half the competition out of the water, yet again, with another spectacular ipa. Super hoppy, perfect balance of fruit and pine with a nice amount of malt to make it a little less overwhelming.

Enjoyed August 15, 2015 at Crest Parsons in a tulip glass. Look - Slight haze. Golden orange, almost burnt orange. Finger plus of ivory head. Strong lacing. Medium bubbles. Smell - Malt. Lemon. Lime. Orange. Dank. Taste - Malt. Bread. Spice. Grapefruit. Lemon. Orange. Dry finish. Feel - Creamy. Mild carbonation throughout. Medium feel. Bitter on tongue. Overall - I prefer Soul Style (if they are even competing). Not bad overall. More malt compared to citrus. Grape juice after taste.

Strong pine, booziness and some citrus. Very smooth and has a nice malt backbone. Pours a wonderful copper with a tan head. Had a draft pour at Lincoln station
