Pour on tap at Taps 25, dark reddish pour with off white head, aroma brought big orange, grapefruit, dank, resinous notes with some slight pine, hints of caramel, but pretty hidden by the hops. Taste was a mix of resin, pine, grass, slight floral notes, some citrus notes with some slight caramel, toffee, finishing fairly bitter. Even with it being a bit malt forward it was balanced well.

On tap at Studio 35 at the Dude-a-Thon on 1/17/16. Pours clear red with a thick beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, piney hops and citrus. Malty and caramelly flavor with orange, grapefruit and tropical fruit accents before a sweet malt finish.

Tasted like malty IPA goodness, but a stronger version. Smooth for nearly 11%

Draft to taster at. The Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; not really reddish or amber though. A mostly transparent orange with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of caramel, toast, and fruity and piney hops. Tastes like it smells with a medium full-bodied mouthfeel that’s smooth for the abv. An enjoyable sipper.

8oz pour- faint red, lots of floral in nose. Lots of different hops. Somewhat carmelly taste. Heavy alcohol overwhelms much o the flavor

Dark coppery pour with a medium lacing head. Very piney aroma, with a touch of citrus. Lots of grapefruit up front, some pine needle. Maybe a hint of coffee. I could drink gallons of this. Finishes a little creamy yet a little sticky.

Tap at Maduro pre GTMW 2014. Really clean for the style. Well executed. Amber copper, filtered body. Well balanced. Some solid NW hops. Really good beer.

From notes. Finally getting around to adding beers from the MBG Fall Beer Fest. Enjoyed on October 24. Rating number 700. The pour is a beautiful amber-ish gold color with a wonderful tan head and lovely lacing. The aroma is big on citrus hops and light caramel malts. The fact that this is advertised as an imperial red is just lovely. The flavor is quite similar, with a little more malt poking through. There is a lovely blast of floral and citrus hops on the back end. The mouth feel is smooth, creamy, with a great carbonation and lovely sticky mouth feel. The aftertaste is lovely, just citrus and lingeringly hoppy and bitter. Just great.

Pours reddish amber orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, toffee, and caramel. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel with a semi-moderately bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a very tasty, fruity, pretty well balanced american strong that hides it high abv very well.

Keg at Beer Run, 10/3/14. Slightly hazy copper with a thin creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, citrus, candied fruit, pithy finish. The taste is citrus, berries, toffee, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate lingering bitterness. 200th American Strong Ale rating!
