Had a very strong coffee scent like walking into a coffee shop. Poured black with tall brown head. Had a very strong spicy coffee flavor, seemed stronger than 7.5%.

not sure i’m a fan of this one. there just somethig about coffee in a beer that i just dont like. aroma was strong. good solid head. Dark as a stout should be. and smooth, but coffee and beer is not for me.

On draft at Union Jack’s pours black with average light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts. Flavors of coffee (espresso), toffee, and brown sugar.

12 oz bottle. Huge coffee nose-smells delicious. Taste is full of bitter coffee, with a moderate malty roastiness. This is truly a coffee beer. Body is just a bit thinner than I would like for this style but this is a sumptuous beer.

12 oz Bottle. Appearance is black with beige head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is heavily coffee with some of the roasted grains coming through. Taste is also heavy on the coffee, espresso with some chocolate and nuttiness. Beer is creamy on the palate with a very thick body. This is a very pleasant stout.

Aroma coffee, espresso, ash, dark chocolate, roasty. Pour black with a beige/tan head. Taste bakers chocolate, coffee, espresso, very bitter, slight creaminess, hazelnut. MF creamy silk full body with very faint carb. Very nice creamy tasting beer and as a coffee and beer lover this strikes a very good balance. Well done.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours black with a head that is so dark it’s almost red. Aroma strong of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, and some light hops. Flavor very strong of the coffee and chocolate. Thick texture. A really good stout.

Poured into a snifter, Java Stout gives a rich dark black color with some ruby hints towards the top. Nice rich tan head with a good retention rate. Great lacing. Sweet malty aroma, from which I get cherries. Some slight coffee hints but not overpowering, with a dash of licorice in here as well. Wow! This could be perhaps the best coffee beer I have had yet. The coffee flavors are subtle at first, and then all of a sudden they just take control of the palate. Mouthfeel is very smooth and flavorful. The palate is very complex, yet subtle. The carbonation level is dead on for what this beer needs. Would I drink it again? I just bought a case.
