COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer.

Amazingly vibrant aroma of whole cappuccino beans. It smells like a Starbucks. Pours black and viscous with almost no head. Taste of dark chocolate, coffee, and malty goodness. The taste lunges for hours afterwards. Favorite bells beer so far.

Pours dark black with tan head that remained a trace throughout. Great lacing. Aroma is fresh coffee beans, roastyness, earthyness and dark chocolate. Taste is bittersweet with the sweetness lingering on the finish. Nice warming on the finish as well. This is about as solid a stout I’ve ever had.

12 oz bottle. Batch 9462. It pours a dark brown/black with a large creamy/foamy tan head. The head sticks for a good while and leaves a thick layer of lacing. The smell is coffee with some caramel and a slight hint of chocolate thrown in, not complex but still enjoyable. The flavor is coffee with a hint of tanginess. I don’t really like it, i seem to be getting a lot of misses with coffee beers lately. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-14-2010 02:48:56

Deep dark pour. All coffee on the nose, taste is nutty, coffee... surprisingly not overwhelming to the palate though. Finishes nice and balanced with pleasing aftertaste. 12 oz pint glass.

I really like this one! Nutty coffee nose. Great taste, perfect balance of roasted coffee, sweetness. Full palate. Easy to drink. want more.

2009 12 oz bottle from the brick store cellar. Pours a dark black color with a tan head. Aromas of heavy coffee. Coffee overpowers the beer, with some chocolate and caramel underneath. Very interesting.

Bottle, from Happy Harry’s in Grand Forks, ND. Pours clear black, thin tan head, spotty lacing. Nose is black coffee, big roast, light vanilla. Flavours of hazelnut, black chocolate, reminiscent of DDC Peche Mortel, only lighter. Great stuff!

Pours a very dark brown with a small beige head. Strong coffee notes - very reminiscent of espresso. Also some licorice notes. Bitter and complex, with a strong aroma.
