COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The satisfying elements of both stout and coffee come together in this full-bodied treat. A marriage of Sumatra's best with rich chocolate and roasted malt provides for a truly enlightening beer.

A nice robust coffee flavor with a smooth finish. This is quiet possibly the best coffee stout on the market.

Wow, this is helping me become more and more of a stout fan. Pours very, very dark brown/black with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is (I can’t believe I can finally pick this up) a bit of dark chocolate followed by a pretty strong coffee taste. Body is medium-to-heavy and very smooth. Coffee and a bit of hop bitter aftertaste. Very tasty and easy to drink. One of the best stouts I’ve had (though I haven’t had a lot of them yet...more stout reviews to come from the stock in the fridge!).

Thick black beer with an ample tan foamy head. Strong aroma of coffee and roasty. Looks like a good stout. Full bodied and smooth. Coffee is strong but not overpowering. All around good beer.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2010 Bottle. A - Dark mahogany color with a little above average sized, frothy, sticky, creamy, light tan head. Good retention leaving a thin, creamy layer of lace. S - Very strong roasted coffee/espresso aroma. Some smokey and tobacco aromas as well. Roasted malt and dark, spicy and earthy aroma as well. T - Also contains a lot of coffee flavors. Both used coffee grounds and strong espresso flavors dominate the flavor. Pick up some strong smoky, tobacco flavors toward the finish of the sip. Some roasted barley provides a background, but for a stout, it is not strong. Burnt flavors show up mid-sip as well. Maybe just a little sweetness, but this is overwhelmed by roasted, bitter, and coffee flavors. M - Fuller side of medium body with a nice level of carbonation. Incredibly smooth and creamy feel with a nice slickness. Great body and mouthfeel. D - Decent drinkability, but the strong charred coffee and bitterness gets to be a bit much. Notes: Definitely a coffee stout. Coffee dominates with not a lot else coming out too strong as it just gets overwhelmed. Went back and forth about how I feel about the taste, deciding that in small doses, it’s nice, but I don’t really want too much. The smokey tobacco flavors are probably what really probably brings this down. The mouthfeel is excellent though. Worth a try, especially if you’re a coffee lover.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate with a smooth lingering coffee finish.

has a nice creamy coffee aroma. A nice silky body, has a bit of a sweet chocolate taste followed by a bit of a bitter coffee taste, a nice combination.

Bottle Pours a good black with a decent tan head. The head is creamy and lasting, and laces very well. Aroma is sweet and bitter plenty of coffee and hints of chocolate. Carbonation is good. the taste is sweet at first then the coffee hits you. Has a medium body. Alcohol is hidden well. Has a thick texture. Has a decent finish and I like the aftertaste. Really like coffee beer.

Looks great, smells great, taste like someone dumped their ashtray into the beer!, as well as the morning coffee grounds. PS buy the expedition stout, it rocks
